Hello, this is the Stardust development team.

Based on the reports and feedback you have shared with us since launch, we have prepared our first update.

In this first patch, we focused on improvements and fixes related to save convenience, controller controls, combat UI, skill and Artifact effects, and dialogue, voice, and localization issues that affect the overall gameplay experience.

We sincerely thank all players who have shared their valuable feedback with us.

Major Improvements

Save and Resolution Convenience Improvements

  • Added support for Steam Cloud saves.

  • Added 4K resolution-related options.

  • Fixed an issue where the save list would automatically scroll to the bottom when navigating the save screen with a controller.

Combat Information Display Improvements

  • Improved the display of a unit’s movable range when hovering the cursor over that unit.

  • Updated Ability descriptions to make the obtainable buff effects easier to understand.

  • Fixed some skill descriptions where the duration shown on the skill card differed from the detailed information.

Progression Balance Adjustment

  • Adjusted the unlock timing for Supply Recovery 5.

    • Before: Unlocked after clearing Chapter 6

    • After: Unlocked after clearing Chapter 7

    • Based on feedback that the difficulty spike felt too steep, this has been adjusted to provide a smoother progression experience.

Town and Shop Convenience Improvements

  • Increased Star’s movement speed on the town map.

  • Improved the gold display in shop item purchase windows by adding commas every three digits for better readability.

  • Added a note to rug/carpet furniture descriptions stating that only one carpet can be placed.

  • Improved guidance so that players can more clearly understand that effects do not stack when purchasing duplicate furniture.

Combat and Skill Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Nartala’s ‘Dodge’ skill unintentionally granted invincibility during casting.

  • Fixed an issue where certain enemies on higher terrain could not be selected as skill targets even when the targeting conditions were met.

  • Fixed an issue where, after Star moved to higher terrain with Star Shifting, Kindlelight could not be activated as a combo even when the conditions were met.

  • Fixed an issue where using Aero Shot on an enemy standing with their back to the edge of the map could cause Shinya to move outside the playable area.

  • Fixed an issue where Charlotte’s Ultimate skill cooldown display differed from the actual cooldown applied in-game.

  • Adjusted the mana cost and description of Fluke so that they better match the skill’s actual effect.

  • Improved guidance for the Ultimate skill tutorial, which was missing from the full release and could make the system difficult to understand.

VFX and Map Display Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where parts of the terrain could appear black when the Sand Golem used ‘Fist Slam’.

  • Fixed an issue where parts of the terrain could appear black when Shinya used ‘Combat Drive’.

  • Fixed an incorrectly assigned enemy skill effect for the Sand Golem’s ‘Sand Pit’ skill.

  • Fixed an issue where the effect for the Sand Lizardman Thrower’s ‘Sand Barrage’ appeared on a random target within the skill range.

    • The effect now appears at the center of the skill area as intended.

  • Fixed an issue where two enemies could appear on the same tile at the same time.

Artifact and Stat Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the cooldown reduction effect of Eye of Will was applied to all cards instead of a single card.

  • Fixed an issue where equipping the Wind Charm Artifact did not actually increase the character’s SPD stat.

  • Improved the display of percentage-based Artifact stat increases so they can be more clearly checked from the equipment screen.

  • Updated the description of Bird-calling Ring to make its actual effect easier to understand.

  • Fixed an issue in the high-difficulty Griffin battle where the boars’ Mind’s Eye passive display did not match its actual effect.

UI and Control Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where cost sorting in the card deck did not work properly.

  • Fixed an issue where the menu key, TAB, did not work properly on the town map when using a keyboard.

  • Fixed an issue where the Page Up / Page Down functions in the dialogue log could not be used with a controller.

  • Fixed an issue where the console gamepad UI could display incorrectly when moving between the Stage Ready screen and the Artifact window.

  • Fixed an issue where quickly purchasing café items could make the UI appear as if two items had been consumed, even though only one item was actually applied.

Stage and Quest Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the victory condition for Stage 10701 was displayed incorrectly.

    • The victory condition is now applied as Defeat All Enemies.

  • Fixed a terrain display issue that occurred when using certain skills in the normal quest [Exploration] Desert Exploration.

  • Fixed an issue in Supply Recovery 3 where using Aero Shot could move the character outside the playable map area.

Dialogue, Voice, and Localization Fixes

  • Fixed an issue in Cinema where the first line of dialogue had no voice playback, was skipped, and did not appear in the dialogue log.

  • Fixed an issue where Yuu and Star’s speaker names were displayed in reverse after leaving the guild.

  • Fixed an issue in StageQuest where the speaker name was displayed incorrectly in the Chinese version.

  • Fixed an issue in Simplified Chinese where custom skill deck names set by the player only displayed the first character on the party formation screen.

  • Fixed an issue where double quotation marks were displayed twice in the English cinema string table.

Planned Future Improvements

  • We plan to address an issue where the in-game stage camera automatically focuses on characters.

    • When looking around the map while zoomed in or out, the camera will be adjusted so that it does not automatically refocus.

  • Convenience updates for key binding, including the town map, character screen, inventory, in-game turn end, movement cancel, and more.

  • Improvements to tile visibility.

Closing Note

This first patch focuses on improving stability and convenience based on the major feedback and QA items received shortly after launch. We will continue carefully reviewing your reports and suggestions as we work to provide a smoother and more enjoyable gameplay experience.

Thank you.
