STARDUST: Wish of Witch changes
Hello, this is the Stardust development team.
Based on the reports and feedback you have shared with us since launch, we have released our third update.
This third patch focuses on improvements and fixes related to directional skill controls, combat performance, counter and skill behavior, combat items, UI readability, and stage and video resources that affect the overall gameplay experience.
We sincerely thank all players who have shared their valuable feedback with us.
Major Improvements
Directional Skill Control Improvements
Increased the selection detection area for directional area-of-effect skills.
Directional skills can now be selected more easily without precisely targeting the narrow area directly in front of the character.
Improved directional skill selection for both keyboard and mouse and gamepad controls.
Fixed an issue where directional skills could appear to target an unintended direction when using a gamepad.
Combat Performance Improvements
Improved an issue where pathfinding calculations could cause severe frame drops when certain enemies moved.
Fixed performance issues that occurred when certain enemies moved, including Gnoll Shamans, Lizardman Throwers, Sand Lizardman Throwers, Astra Archers, and Astra Priests.
Combat and Skill Fixes
Fixed an intermittent issue where enemy skill cards could appear among the player characters’ cards, or the Swamp Slime’s Toxic Secretion card could be added to the player’s hand.
Fixed an issue where, when Leon used Guard as a counter, its damage-blocking effect could be delayed until the next turn depending on the counter activation order.
Guard now properly blocks the incoming attack’s damage and debuffs even when multiple counters are activated consecutively.
Fixed an issue where the image of a defeated Gnoll Archer could remain on the battlefield after multiple Gnoll Archers activated Gnoll Backstep simultaneously and the last one to animate was defeated.
Fixed an issue where, when one Astra Crusader activated Unwavering Faith, area-of-effect damage dealt to other Astra Crusaders that had not activated the effect could also be reduced to 0.
Fixed an issue in Supply Recovery 3 where a ferocious boar could be difficult to select even when it was within skill range and met the targeting conditions.
Removed map objects that could make the target’s tile appear misleading.
Combat Item Fixes
Fixed an issue where removing Severe Poison with an Antidote could cause an error, after which receiving another poison-based attack would repeatedly trigger the error and prevent further progress.
Fixed an issue where character voice lines did not play when using Antidote or Wake-up Potion.
Fixed an issue where the internal hit event index continued to accumulate when repeatedly using items on allies.
UI Readability Improvements
Improved the visibility of Artifact levels on the Stage Ready screen.
Added a dark background behind text displayed over character backgrounds to improve readability.
Stage and Display Fixes
Fixed an issue in Stage 10602 where the incorrect position and rendering order of certain tile decorations caused monsters to appear in front of the tiles.
Cut-in and Video Fixes
Updated Star’s cut-in video resource to match the specifications used by other cut-ins.
Adjusted the transcoding settings applied to certain videos.
Removed unnecessary audio data from tutorial videos.
Closing Note
This third patch prioritizes improvements to control issues and performance drops that have a noticeable impact during combat, while also addressing progression-blocking issues involving counters and combat items under specific conditions.
We will continue carefully reviewing your reports and feedback as we work to provide a more stable and convenient gameplay experience.
We are also working to release the long-awaited manual save feature within the next two weeks.
Thank you.
