Hello, this is the Stardust development team.

Based on the reports and feedback you have shared with us since launch, we have prepared our second update.

In this second patch, we focused on improvements and fixes related to combat camera controls, hotkey and gamepad control convenience, skill and item effects, tutorials, stage spawn issues, and dialogue, sound, and localization issues that affect the overall gameplay experience.

We sincerely thank all players who have shared their valuable feedback with us.

Major Improvements

Camera Control Improvements

  • Improved the camera behavior where, during combat, the camera would automatically focus back on the current turn character after a certain amount of time while players were zoomed in or out and looking around the map.

  • Now, when the camera zoom level has been changed, the camera will no longer forcefully refocus on the current turn character, making it more comfortable to check the map during combat.

  • Added a camera reset control so players can manually restore the camera when needed.

Hotkey and Gamepad Control Improvements

  • Added and adjusted hotkeys so frequently used functions can be accessed more quickly during combat and on the town map.

  • Improved access to combat actions such as Move, Item, Skill, End Turn, and Camera Reset.

  • Improved hotkey convenience on the town map so major menus such as Inventory, Map, Character, and Options can be opened more easily.

  • Adjusted gamepad button assignments so End Turn and Speed Change controls behave more clearly.

  • Fixed an issue where the camera and cursor could become separated when using the right joystick on a gamepad.

Movement Cancel and Menu Control Improvements

  • Based on feedback that canceling a temporary movement during combat felt inconvenient, movement can now be canceled by pressing the movement hotkey again.

  • This allows movement to be canceled more easily without reopening the movement menu.

  • When using a keyboard, the menu can now be closed by pressing the TAB key again after opening it with TAB.

  • This improvement applies to both combat and the town map.

Resolution Option Added

  • Added a 1600×900 resolution option.

  • Players can now choose from a wider range of resolution settings depending on their environment.

Combat and Skill Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Yu’s Ignition damage was applied based on the coefficient value instead of the actual calculated value.

  • Fixed an issue where Star’s Quick Thinking effect increased stats based on the coefficient value instead of the actual returned value.

  • Fixed an issue where Yu’s final skill damage increase buff was only applied to some hits or to a specific target.

    • The effect now applies as intended in multi-hit, area-of-effect, and counter skill situations.

  • Fixed an issue where the Arrow Blast buff could still be gained even if a skill including Arrow Blast was canceled by a counterattack.

    • The buff is no longer granted if the skill is not completed successfully.

  • Fixed an issue where, after a combo skill was interrupted by a counterattack, attempting to use another combo could cause the skill selection state to display incorrectly or leave Fluke in an unintended state.

  • Fixed several skill descriptions where the card description, detailed description, and actual duration did not match.

    • Fixed the turn duration description for Igna’s Flame Forge.

    • Fixed the turn duration description for Igna’s Fiery Condition.

    • Fixed the turn duration description for Yu’s Ignition.

    • Fixed the debuff description applied when using Yu’s Ignition.

  • Fixed an issue where Yu’s Ignition had no sound when used, or where the sound timing did not match the effect timing.

    • The skill effect and sound now play in sync more naturally.

Item and Combat Interaction Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the effect for the item Poison Bottle appeared on the targeted character instead of the selected location.

    • The Poison Bottle effect now appears based on the designated location.

  • Fixed an issue in the [Hard] Giant Golem quest where using damage-dealing consumable items such as Poison Bottle or Powerful Bomb could cause the game to stop progressing or repeatedly play HP reduction effects, preventing further input.

  • This particularly improves issues that could occur when using damage-dealing items on the arms of the Ruins Guardian.

  • Fixed an issue in the [Hard] Ruler of the Sky, Predator of the Earth battle where the target selection logic for the Griffin’s subdue skill behaved differently from its description.

    • The Griffin now selects its subdue target more accurately based on the intended condition of the ally with the highest current HP.

Tutorial and Guide Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the related tutorials did not play properly when first entering the Skill Deck and Artifact screens.

  • Added missing tutorial entries.

  • Character, Skill Deck, and Artifact tutorials now appear correctly at their intended timing.

  • Fixed an issue in keyboard and mouse controls where Speed Change and End Turn were displayed as, or assigned to, the same key.

    • The key guides for End Turn and Speed Change are now displayed correctly.

UI and Control Fixes

  • Added safeguards for an issue where the UI could disappear in some environments after using Starfall.

  • Improved handling to reduce compatibility issues that could occur during video playback in certain environments.

  • Fixed an issue where pressing the map hotkey at the same moment as entering a building could allow the map UI to open inside the building, making it possible to move to unintended locations.

    • The game now checks the current location state and restricts unavailable location movement.

Stage and Quest Fixes

  • Fixed issues where enemies did not spawn correctly in certain quests.

  • Fixed an issue in the normal quest [Explore] Deep Forest Exploration where a Goblin Thrower did not spawn correctly.

  • Fixed an issue in the normal quest Weakness Breakthrough where a Goblin Witch did not spawn correctly.

  • Fixed an issue in the normal quest Defeat Astra Knights Remnants where an Astra Archer did not spawn correctly.

  • Fixed an issue in the main quest Tranya Public Security Duty Begins! where some enemies did not spawn correctly.

  • Fixed an issue in the main quest These Guys Never Give Up! where some enemies did not spawn correctly.

  • Fixed an issue in the main quest Catch the Thief where some enemies did not spawn correctly.

Dialogue, Cutscene, Sound, and Localization Fixes

  • Fixed a cutscene issue in part of the opening where Star appeared while standing still, then only began moving in the next dialogue section.

  • Fixed an issue in the Simplified Chinese version where the speaker name for a certain town map interaction line was displayed as a different name instead of Star.

  • Added missing voice actor information for Yu to the credits.

Closing Note

This second patch focuses on improving combat controls and gameplay stability based on major feedback and QA items received after launch.

In particular, we prioritized improvements that have a noticeable impact during play, such as camera controls, hotkeys, gamepad input, skill effects, and stage spawn issues.

We will continue carefully reviewing your reports and suggestions as we work to provide a smoother and more enjoyable gameplay experience.

Thank you.
