STARDUST: Wish of Witch changes
This is Kniv Studio, currently developing 'STARDUST: Wish of Witch'.
Since the demo release on January 20, more than 5,000 players from around the world have enjoyed our game.
We have also received a great deal of valuable feedback through our official Discord, and we sincerely appreciate it.
Our development team has been working hard to fix various bugs and implement new features.
With today’s new demo build update, we would like to share the issues that have been resolved and give you a preview of upcoming features planned for the full release.
FIXED ISSUES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Fixed an issue where the loot UI was cut off at a 21:9 aspect ratio, preventing game progression.
Fixed an infinite loading issue that occurred when the Steam game language was set to certain languages, and improved stability so the game runs correctly regardless of language settings.
Fixed an issue where Nol and Star did not become transparent when standing behind trees.
Fixed a bug where usable tiles behind trees were not properly obscured. Trees now apply transparency correctly.
Fixed a depth issue where canceling certain card act animations such as Flourish caused the ring command UI to appear, and improved it so the game correctly returns to the card spread state.
Fixed an issue in the Gnoll Leader stage where Star remained in the turn order without a death animation after dying.
Fixed an issue where the camera was forcibly reset after a short time while zoomed in during skill range targeting.
Fixed an issue where zoom-out was applied excessively.
Fixed an issue where the camera moved too quickly when controlled with W / A / S / D.
Fixed an issue where the display mode appeared empty and letterboxing occurred when restarting the game after switching to fullscreen from a windowed resolution that did not match the monitor aspect ratio.
Fixed an issue where incorrect HP values were intermittently displayed in the INFO window, and improved the data refresh logic.
Adjusted overall BGM volume levels.
Fixed incorrect character names appearing in Simplified Chinese cinema translations.
Fixed inconsistencies between Korean voice lines and cinema text.
[ Upcoming Features and Improvements for the Full Release (Subject to change) ]
Cinema Auto Mode
High-quality pixel cinematic animations can now be enjoyed without manual input.
Always-Accessible Tutorial
Players will be able to review tutorials and controls at any time.
Movement Cancel Feature
Players can now cancel movement and return to their original position after moving.
Improved Area Skill Visibility
Previously hard-to-see usable tiles have been improved for better clarity.
Demo (Chapter 0) Stage Reduction and Visual Improvements
We plan to reduce the number of stages in Chapter 0 by two, improve the grassland biome visuals, and increase monster variety.
Improved Difficulty Curve
The easier difficulty applies only to the demo. The full release will provide a more challenging experience.
Unless critical issues arise, this demo build update will be the last, and we will focus on adding new content for the full release planned for the first half of this year. Community feedback is always welcome through our Discord.
