Hi Runagades!

Sprint City has been live for over two weeks now, and we’ve already seen some absolute daredevil Runagades setting record times across all Time Trials.

To help you get the most out of the game, we’re diving into all the different ways you can play Sprint City.

Finding Your First Challenge

When you’re new to Sprint City, the first step is learning how to jump into a challenge.

As you explore the city, you’ll come across kiosks. These unlock as you pass by them. Walk up, hit Enter, and you’ll be able to choose what you want to play.

Playing Solo

If you’re playing solo, kiosks give you access to:

  • Time Trials: compete for the fastest times on the leaderboards

  • Clockout courses (solo): practice routes and optimize before racing others

Want to race real players? Open the main menu with Escape and hit Find a Match to queue up online.

Daily Challenges

Daily Challenges are dev-made Time Trials with temporary leaderboards, giving everyone a fresh shot at the top spot.

You can access them directly from the main menu, no need to find the kiosk first!Steam post image

Curious to see how you compare to the rest? We post the daily leaderboards in our Discord every day. Check it out here: https://discord.com/channels/1407726925614682132/1489215514654801920

Playing With Friends

Got a party together? Then it’s time for some chaos.

Using kiosks, you can start Clockout races with your friends. If you want a full breakdown of how Clockout works, you can check the rules here: [dynamiclink href="https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/4191250/view/503974549653553964?l=english"]

Playing With Friends (Even If They Don’t Own the Game)

Yep, this is a thing!

There are two ways to play with friends who don’t own Sprint City, both accessible through the main menu:

1. Browser Lobbies

Use the Invite Guest button to generate a link. Send it to your friends, and they can join your lobby directly through their browser as a dummy player.

You can play full Clockout sessions together this way.

2. Custom Challenges

Create your own challenge by setting a start and finish, then setting a high score.

You can share it by:

  • Sending a URL (for friends without the game)

  • Sharing a short code (for friends who own the game

What’s Next?

Sprint City’s open world is perfect for more experimental modes. Think playground-style games like Tag or even something like football.

We’re already working on adding tools to support these kinds of modes, but we’d also love to hear from you.

What ways do you want to play Sprint City?
