changedHello Sky Captains!Sky Link: Freefire has been moved to Unreal engine version 5.3! There have been a number of challenges with this move though the additional features offered by the newer Unreal Engine are too exciting to pass up. The UI presented a number of issues in the move, and there's more of course in all the fine details below. Thanks for stopping in! Let's get to it.

Hello Sky Captains!

March has been good to us, and I'm excited to share a bit of what Odisi Games has dropped for Sky Link: Freefire!

The most exciting change for me personally is the addition of controller support. We've added a second column to the key bindings for controllers, so you can now assign a single action to 2 separate keys!

VFX

Significantly lowered emissive values on machine gun bullets.

Improved tracer effects for shotgun, rifle and machinegun.

Improved look to spark-related emitter components for muzzle flashes and blackbox explosions.

Fixed 'wind-streaks' for all upward-booster effects.

SFX

Adjusted explosion sound effects to reduce low frequency lingering resonances. Missile sounds are now created at the exact location of the explosion. Proximity mine sound effects are now created at the exact location of the mine. Bot damage sound effects have had a lot of attention for Skirmish mode this month too.

A couple last updates to round out March: Garage ambiance and garage mechanical arms now do not play on the loading screen.
