Hey everyone, I hope you had a great week :)
The game just reached 7,500 wishlists on Steam! Thanks so much to all of you, your support is incredible!
For those interested, here’s some information about the shelter upgrades you'll be able to build on the islands and underwater:
-As some of you may have noticed in the demo menu, there will be three categories of shelter upgrades: Foundational, Advanced, and Megastructures.
-The foundations will be all about survival, with upgrades like a campfire, a crafting station, fishing traps, etc.
-The advanced upgrades will unlock high-tech refuge upgrades, with features like generators, material refiners, long-range scanning devices, etc.
-The megastructures phase will remain a secret... for now :)
For this week’s screenshots, here are a few buildings from the advanced phase.
You will be able to build large platforms to expand your shelter (and build on this new area):
Here is the top of one of the platforms (and as any good real estate agent would say, it comes with a view)
A resource beacon that you will be able to place underwater near important resources.
Also, here are this week’s demo updates:
-Made sure the new refuge upgrade can’t physically interact with the player while being placed
-Made small adjustments to the demo level design
-Made some minor UI improvements (like adding a shadow to the build menu title text)
-Improved the level design of the shelter water source by adding more rocks
