addedThe game has undergone a massive overhaul in terms of how things are rendered on screen. I expect framerates to keep up with the absolute chaos this can become. I might add some Options to help with performance but using Steam Deck as a parameter I have not identified a drop from the desired 60 FPS.

Hi everyone! Nacho here.

This new patch comes with the new name for the game. After a lot of pondering and work on it, I've decided to ask Valve if they'd let me rename the game and they have agreed to it very graciously and promptly (Thanks Luna!).

The game has undergone a massive overhaul in terms of how things are rendered on screen. I expect framerates to keep up with the absolute chaos this can become. I might add some Options to help with performance but using Steam Deck as a parameter I have not identified a drop from the desired 60 FPS.

I'm still working on the roadmap though now I have the right building blocks and framework to introduce new things and content without breaking everything in the process like it used to be.

New Additions:

  • New Name! (duh)

  • Goblins have a new power up their sleeve

  • New Enemy: Shrimp Swarm

  • Ship Leveling System:

    • Picking Up Time Essence works towards filling an experience bar. Each time you level up you earn a Chrono Orb (the ones that you exchange for powerups)

    • Ship Damage increases with level

    • Ship Fire patterns evolve at specific milestones

    • If the time bank is full, experience accrued is higher!

  • Try using your right stick to aim

Changes:

  • Chrono Tokens have been renamed to Chrono Orbs

  • Time Essence and Chrono Orb rendering

  • Redid explosion graphics, they were too aggressive

  • Changed Camera Zoom

  • Change Fire Rates Calculation

The name change has moved the install folder for many individuals, you can still hunt down your savefile from Time Avarice and use it on the newly created Rogue Orbit folder. I strongly suggest to start fresh, though!

Thank you and talk soon!

Nacho
