But hey, here's the TL;DR:

Changes

  • Adjusted PlayerID Menu to have Randomize as first choice.

  • Changed PlayerID 'back' button to 'done' instead.

  • adjusted colliders and raycasting in interior environments to better interact with stations (still iffy, will continue to work on it).

  • Submitting an item for an order refills a fraction of order timer now.

  • Added a bigger arrow sprite to point to a nearby bike when starting game.

  • Fixed Bikes trapped in front of places, which would prevent players from getting on bikes and instead enter interiors repeatingly.

  • (Possibly) fixed cars spawning sideways.

  • Fixed player despawning with bus when reaching edge of city, player now gets off bus automatically.

  • Adjusted menu navigation to be a bit smoother in the Main Menu, Pause Menu, and Player ID menu.

  • Small updates to the Main Menu screens

Additions:

  • Added 'Jimmies' coffee shop place, interior, and minigame.

  • Added '6/9' convenience store place and interior.

  • Added 'Help Stations' and 2 tutorials for the ‘fast-food’ and ‘coffee shop’ minigames, that help explain how the minigames work.

  • Added 'Dispenser' Stations, that simply give the player an item, based on their fill meter, and receive an item to fill up their fill meter when empty.

  • Added 'Shelf' Stations, that work like counter stations but with a price to take items off it.

  • Added ATM Stations, deposits $20 per interaction from your bank account.

  • Added Newspaper Dispensers, which gives a newspaper item to the player. When used, the newspaper opens a link to the game's newsletter (The Retroronto Report).

  • Added Inventory UI, which displays up to 3 items the player can carry around.

  • Added a 'Use' Mechanic, which uses/consumes a carried item.

Thank you to everyone so far who've played the game and left us feedback! We'll continue to build this community and game hopefully through 2025. Until then, have a merry Christmas, and a happy New Year!

Cheers!
