Retroronto changes
It’s been several months since we launched our Steam page, and a bit longer since we first mentioned releasing a demo. Well, the wait is finally over! The Retroronto demo is now live and available to play on Itch.io here:
You may be wondering why the demo is on Itch.io and not Steam. Demo releases on Steam are most effective when tied to events like Next Fest, and Retroronto still has a way to go before it’s ready for that. Releasing a demo on Steam too early, or without an event to showcase it, can lead to missed opportunities for visibility and marketing. We’ll definitely have a demo on Steam in the future, but for now, you can try this early version on Itch.io and give us crucial feedback!
Retroronto is a city that’s always under construction, much like the real Toronto it’s inspired by. We’re excited to keep improving and expanding the game over time, and your feedback will play a huge part in shaping its future. Please take a moment to give it a try and let us know what you think!
To everyone who has wishlisted the game, I can’t thank you enough for your support. I truly appreciate you giving Retroronto a chance, and I hope this demo gets you even more excited for what’s to come.
Looking ahead, we’ll be working on bug fixes, new features, and updates in the new year. In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord and become part of our growing community!
Safe travels in the city!
