We're incredible excited to share that "Raiders of Blackveil" is releasing in Early Access today, December 15th, 2025.
Raiders of Blackveil officially enters Early Access today 🥳
This launch marks a huge milestone for us, and we’re incredibly excited to finally share everything we’ve been building with you.
Early Access marks the next major step in shaping Raiders of Blackveil into its full potential. This update brings a brand new biome, new enemies and bosses, expanded systems, major gameplay improvements, and loads of quality of life upgrades across the entire game.
Below is a breakdown of what's new in Early Access 📝
New Biome: The Harvest Operation 🌳
Step outside the Meat Factory and into The Harvest Operation, a brand new biome with fresh visuals, angry enemies, and new gameplay mechanics
New levels with distinct layouts and visual storytelling
Shield generators and power cores that influence enemy spawns
New traps and environmental hazards
A new biome loop that allows switching between biomes during runs
New intro and outro sequences
New Enemies, Mini-Bosses and Final Boss 🐉
Early Access introduces a major increase to enemy variety and challenge
11 new enemies with unique behaviors and attack patterns
2 new mini-bosses, one in each biome
Slash n’ Bash (Meat Factory)
Apex Sapling (Harvest Operation)
Harvest Operation final boss:
Otis the Overseer, featuring entirely new boss mechanics
Custom boss arenas and enhanced encounter visuals
Enemies can now patrol areas using a new Sentry Mode
Combat, Perks and Equipment Overhaul ⚔️
Combat depth has been expanded with new systems, perks, and item changes
New status effects: Fury, Taunt, Sap, and Barrier
Loads of new perks added across all classes
New Duo perks and expanded build variety
Reworked equipment system with improved perk synergy
New legendary and mythic gear
Duplicate perks no longer appear
Stat perks unlock once all normal perks are acquired
Progression, Systems and Difficulty 💪
We’ve added new ways to progress, experiment with builds, and push difficulty further
Reroll Tokens for perks and classes
Merchant shop reroll option
Quantity resource merging in inventory
New level progression flow with expanded modifiers
Difficulty unlocks tied to boss progression
First batch of Steam Achievements
First version of metrics/telemetry systems
New Difficulty and Elite Modifiers ☠️
Higher difficulties now introduce dangerous new modifiers to keep runs challenging and unpredictable
New enemy modifiers such as Regenerators, Mortars, Fortified, and more
New Elite and Super Elite modifiers including Armored, Cannon Fodder, Trap Master, and No Help
Greater room variation and high risk gameplay at upper difficulties
Controls, UI and Accessibility Improvements 🎮
Early Access also brings significant polish updates
Fully expanded key rebinding system
Improved gamepad support and vibration options
Ability bar interaction overhaul
HUD, room selection, and class selection UI redesigns
Numerous UI bug fixes and workflow improvements
Full Localization Support 🌍
Raiders of Blackveil now supports full localization across all languages, professionally translated

Performance and Technical Improvements 🤖
A large portion of this update focuses on stability, performance, and smooth gameplay
Improved navmeshes and collision
Better character movement and avoidance
Advanced asset pre allocation
Perk system performance optimizations
Animation blending improvements
