Demo Update Notes Changes Updated collision and overlap handling between the player and other AI. All doors previously based on NPCs have been replaced with independent door objects. Most textures now use RVT.

Demo Update Notes

Changes

  • Updated collision and overlap handling between the player and other AI.

  • All doors previously based on NPCs have been replaced with independent door objects.

  • Most textures now use RVT.

  • Save point list is now sorted when displayed.

  • Hovering over a save point now shows an image of the corresponding area.

  • When a save point is clicked, hover no longer updates the displayed information.

  • Visual effects for save points have been updated.

  • Cull distance volumes have been applied across the board.

  • Internal methods for retrieving various data have been revised.

  • Internal functions handling damage and status effects have been updated.

  • Characters will now die if they fall for too long.

  • Title screen has been updated.

  • Lock-on system improved: when switching targets, all valid lock-on targets will now be cycled through once.

  • Internal save keys have been updated. Migration is applied automatically to convert old keys to new ones.

  • Thunder Orb no longer chains through walls.

  • Certain item placements have been adjusted. Items in changed locations can be obtained again.

  • Added gamma adjustment option.

  • Feedback (mail) feature, previously removed due to security issues, has been restored via Google Sheets.

  • Ability cooldown notifications now play a sound even if the ability cannot be used.

  • Ability and item quick-slot states are now saved and loaded.

  • Fixed lost key-release events.

  • Added a feature to use multiple Soul Shards at once.

  • Adjusted certain attack patterns of the Spirit Wolf.

  • Executions are now disabled while the player is in Focus Mode.

  • When all items in a quick slot are consumed, the system will now automatically move to the next slot.

  • Changed spell effects of the Lich.

  • Changed spell effects of the Goblin Mage.

  • Experience gain method and effect updated:

    • Before: An EXP orb was created and collected upon contact.

    • Now: Experience is gained instantly, with a visual effect.

  • Dash attacks can no longer be chained into dodge. Normal and strong attacks are still possible.

  • Fixed invisible walls obstructing the camera in certain spots.

  • Demo version can no longer load Early Access save files.

    • Only save files created after this update apply immediately. Older saves may still display as demo regardless of version.

  • Experimental: Changed how AI and the player check whether terrain is loaded underfoot.

    • This may cause the character to appear unresponsive for a moment when teleporting.

  • Experimental: Certain key event objects are now grouped into instances for batch loading.

  • Portal system now uses the updated terrain load-check method.

  • Overall AI damage has been increased.

  • Kraken new pattern: if the player is behind it, the Kraken now plays a warning animation, deals damage, and knocks the player back.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where EXP orbs slowed down as they approached the player.

  • Fixed a crash when damaging non-character targets.

  • Fixed certain data-saving functions not working properly.

  • Fixed AI vision info being incorrectly overwritten.

  • Fixed thrown items colliding with the player and failing to launch.

  • Fixed Thunder Orb chaining onto the same target.

  • Fixed controls becoming unresponsive when inputs were entered right after an ability ended.

  • Prevented executions from being retriggered before the previous execution animation finished.

  • Fixed an issue where interacting with a locked door from the opposite side allowed players to clip through.

  • Fixed legacy bug where touching the quick-slot widget with the mouse caused a crash.

  • Fixed certain spawn-type AI floating upward and disappearing due to missing gravity.

  • Fixed Goblin swarm being able to fall and die unintentionally.

  • Fixed missing internal tag for Roaring Blow that caused crashes on hit.

  • Fixed lock-on target being released when switching while already locked onto a target.

  • Fixed background music resuming when using a portal after dying during certain boss fights.

  • Fixed issue where an empty quick slot displayed a white box image.

  • Fixed item duplication bug caused by spamming the interaction key.

The Early Access update will take a bit more time. Please bear with us just a little longer
