Hey guys!
Long time has passed since our last communication so we wanted to update you on how this project is going and what you can expect next. So without further introductions lets jump right to it!
Why no release yet?
Another year flew by, and Project Mist still isn’t out. We know — we feel it too, and we can’t wait to finally share it with you.
Each time we reach a milestone, we play the game, talk it through, and come to the same conclusion: we can do better. Instead of releasing it, we keep improving it.
Then we finish a new location, create new cutscene, and think, “This looks great… but the rest of the game should look and feel like this too.” So we start upgrading the entire game to that new standard — and another three months pass. And then it happens again.
At this moment we feel that we’ve poured so much love and effort into this project that we want to do it justice before hitting that Early Access button.
Why so long without updates?
With all the delays, it’s fair to ask why there were almost no Steam updates for nearly a year. The truth is, without any marketing at all, Project Mist reached over 180,000 wishlists on Steam.
That level of support told us that, for now, promotion wasn’t the priority — creating great game was.
So we focused entirely on development and waited until we created something that was really worth showing. Up until now.
When Early Access
Honestly we can’t say yet. We are currently aiming at Q1 2026 but we will see how everything goes so it may be Q2 or even later. Just like we mentioned, we want to make sure the game is great and ready before we push that button.
New Demo coming soon!
Good news is that new demo is almost ready and it will be published in late January so you can check out all the changes that we have made to our game. We can’t wait to hear your opinions and feedback!

We introduced mysterious guide for player to make sure he knows how to progress
Today we wanted to show you some quick introduction and screens from new locations, UI changes and talk a bit about Player Progression in game.
4 new huge locations:
Rootfather Greenhouse:
“They dreamed of eternal crops. Immortal yield. But you don’t grow forever without shedding something - like identity… or sanity. Now it breathes through roots and hums through the walls. They wanted abundance. All they got was unending rot.”
Dissection Lab
“This is where they brought Titans to die… or worse - to learn from them while they were still alive. Every slab in here has a story carved into flesh. Some were opened up just to see what kept them breathing. And some never stopped. The worst part? It wasn’t the blood. It was the silence. The moment they realized these things understood what was happening to them… and
