Ahoy Captains! It is time to show you a little bit more about ranged combat with enemy ships. Therefore today we will show you some insights about the ship damage system.
As we have mentioned last time, the ship is divided into several sections:
Each section has parameters associated with it, such as hit points, armor, difficulty of hitting, and some special properties. Additionally, each section may contain cabins that significantly affect the further course of the battle. For example, destroying an ammunition depot can lead to a dangerous ignition and fire, and destroying a section full of guns can significantly weaken the offensive power of the opponent.
Now let us show you how section damage progresses on different parts of the ship:
SAILS:
DECK:
STERN:
MIDDLE DECK:
LOWER DECK:
PROW:
In order to win the combat you must be faster than the opponent to destroy at least four of six sections of the enemy ship. If you manage to do that you will be rewarded with such a beautiful view of sinking enemy ship and of course the possibility of getting treasures floating on the water.
We hope you like this little introduction to the ship damage system, please let us know what you think.
