ODDCORE changes
Greetings Runners!
Thank you all for the amazing launch! We’re just a couple of folks trying to make a game where you can zoom out and shoot things for fun, and we never expected to have over 13,000 Runners enjoying it the same way we do. Since then, we’ve received tons of feedback from the community and are working hard to make it happen.
This update adds new content along with bug fixes and QoL improvements. We also added more languages so runners can experience ODDCORE in their home language. If you don’t see your language supported on the Steam page, please reach out. We’re always looking for help with localization.
One more thing! Some of y’all may have already noticed that ODDCORE is now officially Steam Deck Verified, meaning you can bring your ODDMAN and curse around the ODDCORE anytime, anywhere.

⚖️ CHANGES & BALANCING
Fixed an issue where SMG and shotgun spread did not scatter correctly on the Y-axis. Spread behavior now works as intended.
- Alt-Fire AdjustmentSMG, Shotgun, Turret charge time reduced to 0s (Instant-fire)
Removed thematic map pools to encourage more RNG chaos
Elites, Corruptions, and Run! Objective wont be triggered until after variant 10
Enemies are now capped at 200 for purge variants to prevent “grindiness” in the late game
Weapon tweaks
Pistol
Mod now grants +1.5 base damage
SMG
Spread 0.1 → 0.2
Fixed alt-fire animation
Shotgun
Fixed alt-fire animation
Nailgun
Base damage 5 → 1.5
Alt multiplier x4 → x3
Bat
Base damage 20 → 10
Alt multiplier x5 per consecutive hit
Katana
Base damage 13 → 15
Alt base damage 13 → 20
Turret
Fixed alt-fire animation
Teddy Bomb
Fixed collider, damage should now be more consistent
🛠️ QoL UPDATES
Player now can rebind interact key, stats key, and music controls
Nightmare variants' filter improved in visibility
Added sniper sensitivity slider // Player can now be adjusted in "Others" tab in settings
Anti-aliasing option
Smart save improvements (should fix weapon pickup bug 🤞)
Shocking your pet is not allowed.Muting them in the settings is.
Arcade token/ticket UI now always display as long as you are on in hub (Previously only display when you enter the Arcade)
4K resolution options
Toggle gamepad rumble
Log errors to file to help us find bugs in the future
Quick restart option for speedrunners
