Nocturnal Throne changes
This is a big update that changes a few of the characters, adds a new character, new items and new features in maps. This game also adds a new character select screen.
Demo Update 0.4.0
Additions:
+ Added a new item: Adhesive Glue
+ Added a new item: Leech Knife
+ Added a quality of life addition to the character select where it remembers your previous selection
+ Loading screen now includes tips
+ At high difficulty levels, bosses spawn in like normal enemies
+ You can now see actively spawning enemies in the pause menu
+ Added a new character: Old Fool
+ Added a new ability for Skellington IV
Changes:
- Soul Charms are now a common item
- The way health regen works has been changed, health will regen 3 seconds after being hit, and this timer will be reset upon any further hits before the heal. After this, health will regen as normal
- Holy Sword damage nerfed from 150% -> 110%
- Quad-Launcher damage nerfed from 125% -> 100%
- Enemy health scaling has been changed from 25% health increase per level to 60% increase
- Holy Sword fire rate changed from 0.8 -> 1.0
- Holy Sword base area decreased from 1.0 -> 0.9
- Vampire slash cooldown reduced from 2 -> 1
- Vampire slash damage increased from 200% -> 225%
- Logbook has been overhauled
- Character select has been overhauled to show the character
- Loading screen has been changed
- Lowered most characters' default health
- B-hop mechanic works more consistently now when going up slopes
- Adjusted the way the game picks enemies to spawn in
- Missiles deal more splash damage
- Quad-Launcher damage increased 100% -> 125%
- The electric field is now unlocked via the Old Fool
- Character list has been re-organized
- The holy sword challenge now only requires 3 enemies to be hit at once
- XP now uses floats to calculate values, this makes the banana a more useful item as XP drops can have decimal values
- XP drops from enemies increases depending on their level
- Harder enemies, like bosses, drop more XP
- Enemies also drop an extra XP point per buff they have
- Blast beach now has lava pools
- Removed the sunset variant from stage 1
Fixes:
* Fixed the holy sword's slash's particles being inaccurate to where damage is going to be dealt
* Ditto this with the vampire slash
* Fixed the leaderboard on the main menu appearing over the top of the fade in
* Fixed the heat detector not showing particles properly when being equipped
* Fixed the holy sword challenge being broken
* Removed floating trees from grasslands
