Update v0.3.24 - Artifact System Complete + Performance Improvements
This update focuses on polishing existing systems and completing the artifact system with proper UI and icons. We've also made our first steps toward performance optimization and balance adjustments based on your feedback.
Artifact System - Now Complete!
New Artifact Icons Every artifact now has its own unique icon, making them easier to identify and recognize during selection.
Artifact Display UI We've added a UI element that shows all artifacts you've selected during your current run. Now you can easily track which artifacts are boosting your build without having to remember!
Game Over Screen Enhancement Your game over screen now displays all skills and artifacts you used during that run - perfect for analyzing your builds and sharing your best (or worst) moments!
Performance Optimization - Ongoing Effort
We've noticed that performance can suffer during later waves with many enemies on screen. While we already have a quality setting option, we're committed to improving performance across the board.
What's in this patch:
Reduced FindObjects calls per second (major optimization)
Added object pooling for projectiles
Removed useless code loops that could cause FPS drops
Optimized HUB UI
These are the first steps in our ongoing performance optimization effort. Players with lower-end CPUs should notice improvements, especially in later waves. We'll continue working on performance enhancements in future updates wherever possible.
Quality of Life Improvements
Boss Fight Improvements
Reduced enemy spawns during boss fights - focus on the boss!
No more enemy spawning after you kill the boss - enjoy your victory and loot collection in peace
Skill Shop Scaling New skills purchased during a round now have scaling costs and require both Biomass and Amber resources. This change ensures all playstyles are treated equally and prevents resource imbalances.
