THE FINAL PIECES
We're thrilled to finally present the last major features that have been missing from Mycofall! This update completes the core gameplay loop with Artifacts, enhanced Skill Progression, and a dynamic Events system.
Artifacts - Boss Rewards Worth Fighting For
Artifacts are here! Defeat bosses and claim powerful permanent upgrades for your run.
How it works:
Currently 16 unique artifacts in the game
After defeating a boss, you'll receive a random selection of 3 artifacts
Choose one to add to your run
Each artifact provides unique benefits and synergizes differently with your build
Steam post image Coming Soon: We're working on an artifact collection UI that will display all artifacts you've discovered.
Skill Progression & New Evolutions
New Targeting Evolution for ALL Skills Every skill in the game now has an evolution option to optimize how it targets enemies. This adds a whole new layer to build optimization!
New Boomerang Evolution Fresh playstyle options for Boomerang builds - experiment and find new synergies!
Events System Expansion
Enemy Spawn Event A new activation event that changes the rhythm of your runs.
Biomass Event Flower New resource gathering opportunities during waves.
Enemy Hordes Massive groups of enemies can now spawn during regular waves, creating intense combat moments and testing your build's limits.
Hub UI Rework - First of Many
Our UI designer has put tremendous effort into redesigning the Hub menu, and it shows! The new interface is cleaner, more polished, and easier to navigate.
This is just the beginning - we're continuing to overhaul UI elements throughout the game. Expect more visual improvements in upcoming updates as we polish every aspect of the interface.
Quality of Life Improvements
Post-Boss Grace Period After defeating a boss, you now get time to safely collect your loot and artifacts without being immediately swarmed.
Level-Up Breathing Room When you level up, enemies in range get knocked back and briefly stunned - giving you a moment to make your choice without panic.
Demo Restrictions & Release Preparation
As we approach release, we've added progression restrictions to the demo to preserve some surprises for the full game launch.
But don't worry - the demo remains fun and complete! You can:
Experience all core gameplay systems
Master the combat loop and build strategies
Hunt for highscores on the leaderboard
Test every character, skill, and evolution
