Moonfell: the Tides of Aether changes
It's been some time since the last demo update, and I've got some exciting things to share!
First, in the interest of transparency, I should clarify that this is NOT the Chapter 2 release - at least not yet. The goal of this release is to make the various story, gameplay, and UI/UX changes available now, in anticipation of Chapter 2's actual content being released towards the end of February or early March. If you've been following my posts on itch or Steam, the trend of Chapter 2's release date moving around isn't exactly new, but I am optimistic this date will stick.
So, what is in this build, you ask? Below is a fairly detailed, but probably still not comprehensive, list of enhancements:
Improved face sprite for Spark
Elder Troll damage and regeneration boost
Added a Current Objectives option to Save crystals
Controller button remapping in the Options menu
Revised many tutorials for clarity
Added a number display to the Synergy meter
Enhanced several cutscenes
Various dialog re-writes
Changed the pop-up for Recovery Springs and Save Crystals so that it is less time consuming / repetitive
The Prelude now has a few hidden items but is also easier to navigate if players stay on the critical path
Moved around when certain tutorials trigger to be more intuitive
Removed unnecessary "wait" time from certain text windows, particularly the dummy objects in the Glancia Temple Library
Added Relics to the Items menu (under the Accessory category, with Rings as intended)
A few mapping fixes such as bed sheets being on the correct layer above the player
Hide crafting items that the player cannot have the components for based on game progression (less cluttered menu)
Added more offensive skills to merfolk-type enemies
Slightly re-balanced Zombie's attack damage
Well, that's all for now, but I hope to be back soon with more content. Until then, happy adventuring!
P.S. Thanks for all your support - follows, downloads, ratings, etc. are always greatly appreciated.
