Hey everyone!

For this update we wanted to focus on quality of life features, tutorial improvements, and filling a gap in the item roster when it comes to reactor survivability, similar to how we improved the accessibility of area of effect items in the Luck of the Draw update. The goal is to give you more agency when it comes to reactor defense, and letting you make build decisions that have a noticeable payoff later on.

We're also adding a brand new transaction station to the underground: the Hydraulic Press!

General

-Added extra visual flair to getting legendary items from crates or transaction stations

-Improvements have been made to player movement to eliminate the jitteriness that would sometimes occur

-Updated mercenary descriptions in character select

-Improved reactor survivability: will now start repairing 50% sooner while at critical health

-Adjusted forklift art to improve clarity

-Updated the look of the Reactor's crystal

-Added some ground markings that call attention to the shop in the bottom right part of the map

-Scrap dropped by bosses will no longer despawn

-📡 Added a new option to auto mute the game when you alt+tab (on by default!)

-📡 Increased the attraction radius for non-scrap pick ups

-📡 Improved steam rich presence text to show more info about where you are in your run

-📡 "Games are better with friends!" (Engineer unlock achievement) Unique sentry & drones requirement reduced 4 -> 3

-📡 Improved descriptions of all Crit Prism items to better describe what 'Crits' do

-📡 You can close the early access text in the main menu by pressing 'Esc'

-📡 Created a new asset pack for tier list icons! (Learn more at the end of this patch)

Tutorial

-Added a new first time player prompt that recommends doing the tutorial before starting a new game

-Added arrows to highlight new ui elements as they are revealed on screen

-Added arrows to highlight the doors on the TAB screen while they're being introduced

-Added arrows that emerge from active mineshafts to show where enemies will come from

-Camera will now zoom out to give you a better view of what is happening when the barricades are destroyed

-Improved guidance arrows for showing you the nearest shop or sentry spot

-Tweaked art assets in intro slide show sequence

-Added a typing sound to all dialogue boxes

-Streamlined the wording of many dialogue texts

-Various minor tweaks and improvements

Bosses

-The Elder Spitter Reduced max health by 18%

-The Giga-Beamer Improved animation of attack 4's super giant beam to make it easier to tell when the beam is actually going to fire

Enemies

-Improved consistency for enemies when they have multiple options to target. They will now always prioritize targets in this order: Safety Cone > Brigade Beamers > Player > Reactor

-Sniper 📡 Will now commit to any target they set their beam on. If the target they are aiming at dies or disappears, the attack will be reset. This change massively improves interactions where you are approaching a sniper while they are aiming at something else (like the reactor) only to be met by an untimely quick scope. Now they are much more susceptible to approaches and should be generally way more consistent to fight against!

Transaction Stations

Sleeping Quarters -Standard Unit Replacer You can now cycle between 3 potential common item output choices!

Laboratory -Scientific Unit Replacer You can now cycle between 2 potential rare item output choices!

Mechanical Garage Room -NEW: Hydraulic Press Choose an item to destroy for maximum scrap (scales per threat level)

Sentries and Drones

-All sentries have had their pick up speed increased by +20%

Items

-Red Matter Duplicator Scrap interest percentage on wave end increased +12% -> +20%

-Cracked Pipe Added new visuals for items that are discounted by this item!

-Charging Prism Cooldown reduction on hit increased +10% -> +15%

-Energizing Battery Cooldown reduction increased +20% -> +25%

-Cryo-Cola Cooldown reduction increased +10% -> +15% Movement speed increased +25% -> +30%

-Laser Pickaxe Damage increased +80 -> +100

-Fusion Core Kills required per level up decreased 10 -> 6

-Gilded Anvil (Engineer) In addition to its existing effect, it will now also double your total overclock activation damage

-Gilded Anvil (Minigunner) Powershot speed and range increased +20% -> +25%

-Fragile Monocle Increased damage +35% -> +40% Increased accuracy +8 degrees -> +10 degrees Added a new visual that shows while you have this item!

-Irradiated Prism OLD: 200 poison damage over 20 seconds NEW: 100 poison damage over 25 seconds The poison status effect can now be stacked repeatedly on a single enemy! Updated poison VFX particles to increase in intensity as the target gets more poisened We are adjusting this item to allow for repeated hits to increase the strength of the poison damage to make this effect more distinct from afterburn. We had to adjust the numbers a bit to bring it more in line with the amplifying prism, as it can quickly surpass it in damage now! Poison is at its most effective against enemies that take longer to kill.

-Explosive Detonator This item has been reworked! It will now grant a chance on kill for enemies to drop dynamite, use your ability to detonate it

The reactor gains a chance to block damage and fire a retaliatory bolt at the attacker

Gain increased firerate and ability recharge speed whenever the reactor takes damage

-Industrial Capacitor

When the reactor takes damage it charges up a huge electric nova

Unlocked by default!

-Storm Totem

Chance on hit to strike an enemy with lightning

Unlocked by default!

Legendary Tier -Core Crystals

The reactor fires powerful homing energy orbs at enemies

UNLOCKED WITH NEW ACHIEVEMENT: Diamond in the rough Have your reactor take 3000 damage across all runs

-Fixed issue where some of the Frostblaster’s attacks could not be blocked by the Brittle Shield

-Fixed issue where enraging the Frostblaster between left & right blasts in its first attack would cause it to stop attacking

-Fixed issue causing the Sticky Beeswax debuff to get removed too soon

-Fixed an issue where the Rendered Wrench field could be active in the mines under certain circumstances

-Fixed an issue where holding “Power Reactor” when in the mines while owning the safety cone would cause the placement indicator to appear

-Fixed an issue where E-40 Prototype Rounds could sometimes not apply to attack drones

-Fixed an issue where scrapping or trading the E40 Rounds would softlock the game

-Fixed an issue where defeating a boss after dying would cause the game over screen to become obstructed

-Fixed issue where scrapping or trading the winchester shells while having a winchester shell loaded would cause all shotgun shots use the winchester shot SFX

-Fixed an issue where Minigun accuracy displays could only show the Minigun’s base accuracy and wouldn’t be updated with accuracy items

-Re-Enabled Rare Earthgem projectile trail effect

-Fixed warrior's helm status effect icon not showing in the underground

-Fixed muzzle flash light not getting disabled when you combat rolled

-📡 Fixed an issue where the Unstable Isotope was not properly setting up the reactor shield when returning from the mines

-📡 Fixed an issue where the “Lone Warrior” achievement was easier to obtain than intended

-Additional minor bug fixes
