Minigunner Build 0.8.9.0 Patch Notes
This update brings the highly anticipated fourth playable character to the game: The Commando! Armed to the teeth, he has the tools for any situation! Mow your enemies down with laser fire or clear a path with sheer explosive force. Learn more about him in the patch notes below!
This update also includes a pretty big shift in the game's difficulty levels, making the game easier and faster for new players! Lastly we also have a TON of new achievements to unlock the Commando's shiny new class items, some of which are easily our new favorites in the whole game.

COMING SOON! You've got a bad feeling about this... In hard mode, you'll have the option to enable additional custom wave modifiers that add extra challenge (and score!) to your runs. Push yourself to the absolute limit to see how many you can overcome! Watch this space for more info when it drops in the next major update! Developer Thoughts: This is the first half of a greater difficulty options rework that we've been planning for a long time now. Our goals are to make the game easier to pick up at the start, while also giving options to add more challenge for our veteran players. The "Normal mode" that the game has been using up until this point is now the baseline for our new "Hard mode", with the spicy new wave modifiers arriving in the upcoming FINAL BOSS UPDATE. -The player's rotation will now update correctly if you move your cursor while combat rolling
-📡 Added a "shoot when aiming" option for gamepad controllers
-📡 The Tab Screen has a new timer that will show the duration of the current run
-📡 The time stat in the post game screen will now show new records for successful runs with the fastest times
The Commando
This new mercenary relishes every moment in battle, blasting and blowing up anything in his way! Wielding TWO primary weapons that each have a unique ability tied to them, he has the tools to deal with any situation. To play him most effectively, you'll want to make the most out of his passive, using your abilities often to switch weapons and gain massive amounts of adrenaline. The closer you are to the enemies you're fighting, the more adrenaline you'll gain per hit!
-Weapon: Burst Rifle Fires 3 round-bursts of laser projectiles that travel a long distance. The first shot in each burst is perfectly accurate!
-Weapon: Rocket Launcher Fires powerful rocket projectiles that explode on contact. Most effective against enemies that are clumped together.
-Ability: Suppressive Fire Rapidly fire laser rounds that damage and stun all enemies hit.
-Ability: Rocket Barrage Unleash a barrage of swarm rockets that damage and slow all enemies hit.
-Passive: One Man Army Using your ability will cause you to switch to your other weapon and will consume all extra ability charges you have to deal bonus ability damage.
Additionally, you can fill an adrenaline meter by landing hits on enemies, When you fill the meter, you double your TOTAL firerate for a short duration!

Achievements
PSA: Because of the maximum achievement limit that Steam imposes being capped at 100, only a few of these achievements will be reflected on Steam, but rest assured that all your progress will continue to act like normal in game. Steam notified us that once we reach a certain threshold of player numbers, they will uncap this limit, and Steam will automatically update to reflect any progress you've made in game the next time you launch.

Items
-📡 Reactor Items (Critical Mass, Reactive Electro-Goo, Industrial Capacitor, Service Radio, Core Crystals, and Unstable Isotope) To improve the quality of early game shops, reactor items will only start showing up after the first threat level is complete. To get value out of many of these items, your reactor will need to be under attack often, and since that does not really happen in the first few waves, these items felt like dead weight early on. We've been playtesting this change a lot and it feels great, shops now show you much better options in the early game.
-Heavy Caliber Rounds Weapon explosions will now also benefit from the Heavy Cal Rounds' size increase!
-Rusty Magnet Fixed the item panel showing as blank
-Winchester Shells Will now correctly pierce enemies when Incendiary Shells are active
-Candy Jar This item is now deprioritized by transaction stations that take random inputs from your inventory. You can now safely use them without worry of this item being taken unless it is the only viable input you have. Candymaxxers rejoice!
What's that sound?!
We are very excited to share that Dylan King has joined the Crystal Fruit Games team as a talented sound designer! He's got a fantastic youtube channel (linked below) and is an absolute CHEF when it comes to cooking up sound effects! The Commando is the first mercenary to have benefited from his magic touch, and we hope you like what you hear! Please note that some of his sounds are still works in progress and will be updated as we make more progress. Also be on the lookout for the new sounds for hitting and killing enemies, they're very juicy and satisfying!
We've got exciting plans for all things audio in Minigunner, expect to hear more with each patch that is rolled out!

-Fixed issue where some enemies were not dealing correct damage while empowered
-Fixed some items have persistent effects after being scrapped or traded away
-Fixed having a button bound to interact meant opening a transaction station can instantly purchase or close
-Fixed an issue where Star Forger's Armor would not regenerate if you left a scene while it was coming back
-Fixed a visual issue with the Drillminer's light
-Fixed Halloween shop background for the Professional's Briefcase getting broken after a scene transition
-Fixed issue where the “low ammo” firing sound would play on the first shot after a reload
-Fixed an issue where readying the winchester shells right as entering a vent would break the shotgun
-Fixed issue where stacking the industrial capacitor would infinitely stun enemies
-Fixed issue where the Reactive Electro Goo would gain unintended stacking damage and stun time when changing scenes
-Fixed issue where changing scenes during a star forgers armor recharge would prevent the armor from being restored
-Fixed Candy Jar icon not reappearing on transaction stations with multiple uses
-Fixed an issue where stunned enemies could still get an attack off if they were about to fire
