Win Poses Update

Win animations Characters now do a special animation when they win the round. Only a couple of characters (Nils, Paul) have bespoke win pose animations, the rest are mostly reusing sprites from other animations.

Lobby Improvements

  • When the host selects to close the lobby, it now puts the lobby into a "closing" state where it's not possible to ready up, the lobby becomes unlisted and players will visually see that the lobby is closing. The chat stays open so players can say gg's or whatever before leaving.

  • During the "closing" state, the host can click the button one more time to close the lobby for real, or press Cancel Close to return the lobby to normal if they didn't mean to do that.

  • When a player is in char select while in a lobby, their portrait will briefly go dark to visuallly indicate to everyone that they are changing characters.

Other changes

  • Nils 4C/6C now guarantees Nils full charge next turn (he is crouching after all.)

  • This gives Nils players one more option to reposition on the ground while keeping charge. 4C/6C carries risk compared to Advance Base as it loses to basically any attack or jump in, but it can call out specific things.

  • Lewis' A combo and B attack sprites, Billy's idle and block freeze frame, and Nils' end of round win pose have been cleaned up to remove pixelation and edge bleed effects. This is an ongoing process and we are likely to make additional cleanup passes on these and other animations.

  • Fixed an issue on the Steam Deck where the on-screen keyboard could get stuck when chatting in the Online Lobby. Thanks to Xiuhotl for finding this.
