Build Version 3020
This patch includes various improvements and fixes.
Gameplay
Reworked interaction flow:
Pickups now happen directly and tool actions register reliably on repeated hits.
Interaction prompts always appear, including when wielding a bow.
Fixed an issue where leaving workbenches could get stuck on the interaction widget.
Difficulty tuning:
Adjusted how difficulty affects carry weight.
Updated how sleep and certain status effects (e.g., Gravedo) interact with difficulty for consistent behavior.
Fixed a wrong “healthy” popup when sleeping while heavily affected by Gravedo.
Drowning updated for more consistent behavior.
Animals and farming:
Chickens can now produce up to 3 eggs, and the stable’s egg counter updates correctly.
Black henbane collection is now consistent.
Fixed an issue that could cause small animals to despawn incorrectly.
Items & Crafting
Tweaked item physics for more natural movement.
Fixed an inventory display issue where tinder could appear instead of split wood.
Woodworking wall improvements: extended beam length and hid the placement validator while building for a cleaner view.
Workbench interactions are more forgiving (simple tool improvements).
NPCs & Navigation
NPC navigation is more robust:
Long or complex paths recover more reliably, with fewer path recalculations.
Non-task relocations are resolved instantly to reduce idle wandering.
Improved pathing around foliage and environmental obstacles.
Fixed issues that could cause crashes in the Dynamic Foliage Manager.
Audio
New and improved sound effects:
Building/hammer steps, landing impacts, and NPC eating/drinking.
General NPC voice lines now play correctly.
Quest and tutorial voice-overs:
New voice-over for the well quest.
Added player voice reminders after recruiting villagers to help discover the villager tutorial and trading post.
Mixing and routing polish:
Updated attenuation, priority, concurrency, and channel limits for clearer, more stable audio.
Music priority settings adjusted for better balance.
Visuals
Heat distortion effect added/improved in appropriate scenes.
- ArmorGambeson reworked with updated mesh and color improvements.
Fixed a distance field issue on Door 01 to improve lighting/shadows.
Adjusted map border visuals.
UI/UX
Wiki and HUD:
Implemented the HUD Wiki entry and improved button visibility.
Updated Gravedo information in the in-game wiki.
Build menu: right-click now takes you back to the previous menu.
HUD text polish (“build” corrected to “Build”).
Technology progress widget now shows packing information; trading post UI fixes.
Autosave improvements: clearer labeling and an on-screen message when autosaving.
Villager clothing button is larger and brighter for better accessibility.
Popups now trigger instantly when conditions are met.
Benchmark tool:
Fixed the benchmark widget.
Added clearer warnings when hardware may not meet recommended specs.
Quests & Tutorials
Trading post tutorial overhauled with voice reminders for easier onboarding.
Added/updated tutorial slides:
Status effects, skinning, and a dedicated solo minigame tutorial.
Added a wolf proximity warning to help avoid surprises.
Localization
- New languageCzech is now available and selectable in the Settings Menu.
Broad localization pass improving clarity and context across many languages (ES, FR, IT, JA, KO, PL, PT, RU, TR, UK, ZH, and more).
Numerous typo fixes, including within the “Resources” section.
Performance & Stability
Crash resilience:
Fixed a crash related to the Dynamic Foliage Manager.
Improved engine-side crash handling and diagnostics.
Hardware detection and setup:
Added GPU capability checks and a hardware checker to recommend suitable graphics settings.
Optimized monitor polling to reduce overhead on multi-display setups.
Navigation performance improved on long paths and complex terrain.
Support & Reporting
In-game bug reports can now include your savegame to help the team reproduce and fix issues faster.
Crash reports now collect better diagnostic details to speed up troubleshooting (subject to your privacy settings).
