Lonely Space changes
New Fire System
Oil: Now you can spill oil, leaving oil trails and puddles that can easily be ignited by any spark or fire source
Gas. Now you can extinguish the streams of fire from the pipes. Also, the gas escaping from the pipes will ignite from any spark or fire source
New item: Fire extinguisher. Allows extinguishing fire from pipes, oil puddles, and burning enemies. Causes a stun effect on organic enemies
New item: Blowtorch. Allows igniting gas, oil, and organic enemies
Reworked item: Oil Canister. Allows you to create oil trails and puddles, as well as pour oil on enemies to set them on fire
Reworked items: Small and Large Oil Barrel. When damaged by a firearm, a leak with flammable oil occurs
New explosive item: Heavy Propane Cylinder
Skill improvement: Push skill now allows extinguishing fire, similar to the fire extinguisher
Fire jets from pipes can now be blocked with any movable object
Fixed visual artifacts related to flickering light from fire sources
Added an "empty" state when focusing on an empty active object
Player
Parkour system. The player can pull themselves up and climb onto any objects in the level. A convenient system for climbing into ventilation shafts has also been added
Added basic player specialization when choosing a suit in the intro. Options include soldier, scout, and engineer classes
Reworked lean logic
Adaptive weapons crosshair color. Red when focused on an enemy, green when focused on an interactive object
New health and energy HUD
Removed vertical camera shake while walking
Added ability to catch rats and throw them at enemies or walls. Rats can also be pulled using telekinesis.
Audio
Audio occlusion system. Sounds and enemy perception now depend on obstacles between them and the player. Sounds can also bend around obstacles, creating the effect of muffled, reflected sound.
Environment and Objects
Added severed body parts of station personnel. Can be used to throw at enemies or distract them
Added corpses of station personnel with severed arms and legs
New object: Cargo elevator for moving items between station decks.
New object: Wall-mounted first aid cabinet
New interactive floor hatches.
Added technical tunnels in corridors under ceilings
- IntroReworked starting tutorial.
- IntroAdded tutorial for dash and module usage.
- IntroAdded alternative ways to complete certain sections.
Enemies
New enemy: Explosive rat. Can be used as a weapon
Enemies now react if a rat squeaks nearby
Enemies no longer interrupt reloading while trying to dodge the player’s headshots
Reworked AI for crawling enemies. Added fast in-place turning and increased jump distance
Improvements
Added sorting of player media in the order they were added to the database
Now you can assign hotkeys to the psi-ability wheel, weapons, and consumables wheels
Also you can rebind inventory menu keys
Reworked quest markers
Option to disable hints in the menu
Fixes
Fixed a critical bug that prevented the player from dying after switching ammo in Intro
Fixed an issue with looped healing animation
Fixed flashlight functionality when close to walls
Fixed wrong hand pose after climbing a ladder
Fixed an issue where enemies could lose sight of the player after a while
Fixed rendering issues with helmet pieces while running
Fixed shaking when moving in elevators
Fixed the ability to interact with objects while under radiation damage
