☯ Patch 0.4.0 — The Voidpriest Walks the Seam

Light and shadow are one thread, and only the weaving holds. The final seat at the table is filled. With this update, the playable roster reaches 16 heroes — and the last to arrive is unlike any before her. She was cast out by both temple and cult for a single heresy: refusing to choose a side.

✨ NEW HERO — Voidpriest Sorrel

Element: Shadow + Holy (dual)

Playstyle: Rhythm caster — alternate light and dark, never repeat Excommunicated by both the Halo Conclave and the Umbral Cabal, Sorrel learned the secret each side feared. She does not pick shadow or light. She weaves them — one strand after the other, forever, and the void rewards the rhythm.

☯ Signature: Void Weave

  • Weave the seam — Each Shadow or Holy card whose element differs from your last Shadow/Holy card deals ×1.4 Damage. Keep alternating and the bonus never stops — even across turns.

  • Break it at your peril — Play the same element twice in a row and the weave snaps: take 2 HP. The void will not be repeated.

  • Dark drains, light mends — Shadow cards lifesteal 30% of Damage dealt; her Holy heals keep the rhythm alive.

  • Twin mastery — Shadow ×1.15 and Holy ×1.15 Damage.

🃏 Guaranteed Starting Core

Sorrel opens every run drafting around a dual-element core — Shadow Bolt + Mend + 2 Defend — so the weave can fire from the very first turn. Lead with Mend to set the strand, then strike with Shadow Bolt for the surge.

🔓 How to Unlock

  • Play 180 Shadow and 180 Holy cards across your runs, and

  • Reach Mastery Lv5 on both Nightblade (shadow) and Paladin (holy).

Two paths, one thread — fitting for the heretic who walks the seam between them.

📈 Mastery Perks

  • Lv2 — Soulleech joins your opening hand

  • Lv8 — Holy Verdict appended as a late-game finisher

  • Lv12 — Void Weave bonus sharpens to ×1.6

  • Lv14 — Weave-break penalty softened to 1 HP

🎯 NEW ACTION — Mark

A new in-combat action now sits beside End Turn. Spend 2 Mana to Mark the enemy with an element of your choice — that element then deals +25% Damage for 3 turns. Read the fight, brand the weakness, and pour your matching cards into the opening. Available to every hero, every element.

🖼 UI Redesign & Visual Overhaul

The whole interface got a pass — cleaner combat layout, reworked player and enemy panels, and a fresh full-screen effects system.

  • Run progress header — a hex-tile track across the top shows every row you've cleared, where you stand, and the boss waiting ahead. Hover the Tier badge for live enemy scaling (HP / Attack / Gold) plus per-kill Essence & Ash.

  • Unspent-mana guard — end a turn with Mana still in the pool and the game now warns you before it's wasted, with a per-run opt-out.

  • Polished combat FX — new title visuals, smoother hit and heal feedback, and a redrawn progression screen.

🌍 Fully Localized

Voidpriest Sorrel — her kit, lore, and battle log — ships day one in all 10 supported languages: English, 한국어, 日本語, 简体中文, Français, Deutsch, Español, Português (BR), Русский, Tiếng Việt.
