addedWe'd love to add to that happiness - even if only by little bit - and as such ever since the start of the year we've been constantly busy working on the game and making additional changes and bugfixes. This has, at this point, became an on-going part of our dev-cycle and through the cooperation with our community we've been able to eradicate a lot of smaller and bigger issues. As always, this means that Hotel Galactic again got better and more fun!

We'd love to add to that happiness - even if only by little bit - and as such ever since the start of the year we've been constantly busy working on the game and making additional changes and bugfixes. This has, at this point, became an on-going part of our dev-cycle and through the cooperation with our community we've been able to eradicate a lot of smaller and bigger issues. As always, this means that Hotel Galactic again got better and more fun!

Below you'll find the comprehensive list of all the changes that we've introduced to the game with the last hotfix!

Patch Notes:

New Content

  • Added Rustic Daisy Bed as part of the Rustic Daisy DLC.

Storage & Shelves

  • Pattern bundles (wall/floor patterns) can now be placed on storage shelves.

  • Fixed storage shelves collisions.

  • Fixed issues with crate interactions not locking/unlocking correctly after placing crates on shelves.

  • Fixed items on shelves not being recognized correctly by sell / move tasks.

  • Disabled auto-store interactions for crates (this feature was unreliable and has been fully removed).

  • Fixed errors related to picking up or stripping items from storages.

Recycling & Crusher

  • Fixed Crusher being movable or packable while processing items.

  • Fixed Crusher recycling interaction not being available after packing and unpacking.

  • Fixed inability to cancel recycling after an item was packed into a crate.

  • Prevented depositing crates onto shelves intended for recycling.

  • Recycling is now properly blocked for objects that are currently being destroyed.

  • Disabled recycling for the Research Station.

  • Simplified and stabilized Crusher logic and checks.

Tasks, AI & Workers

  • Fixed workers not dropping all carried equipment when dismissed or leaving the hotel.

  • Fixed tasks not cancelling properly when interrupted externally.

  • Fixed stuck tasks related to:

    • Harvesting StarGrass after building a room on it.

    • Actors getting stuck when leaving tables.

    • Rooms stuck mid-build (with save/load failsafes).

  • Prevented quests and objectives from getting stuck when referenced actors no longer exist.

  • Fixed workers sliding incorrectly during dialogue movement.

  • Improved task destination finding and marker handling.

  • Increased task marker capacity and improved marker growth behavior.

Objectives & Quests

  • Fixed objective text and logic for unpacking ingredient crates in “Merchants of Opportunity” quest

  • Fixed objectives not reacting correctly to packing or removing registered items (e.g. birthday decorations).

  • Fixed objectives related to equipping workers with items not checking unequip state correctly.

  • Improved Furnish Rooms objective validation to prevent stuck states.

UI & Navigation

  • Improved Rations Prepper UI navigation (mouse & gamepad).

  • Fixed multiple UI navigation and selection issues in Rations Prepper.

  • Fixed incorrect or missing UI markers on tools stored in Tool Racks.

  • Fixed compendium markers and categories display.

  • Fixed recipe crafting hints not appearing correctly on Steam Deck.

  • Improved rating summary readability with tooltips for long descriptions.

  • Fixed camera snapping when unpacking resources from crates into storage.

Beds, Rooms & Furniture

  • Fixed dirty bed alerts appearing incorrectly during bed transport with reload.

  • Fixed worker bed assignment and reassignment edge cases.

  • Removed worker bed assignment interactions for starting workers and dismissed workers.

  • Fixed laundry flow where tasks could get stuck after changing sheets.

Items & Crafting

  • Fixed kitchen items incorrectly appearing in the plants crafting category.

  • Updated item tags in crafting stations.

  • Fixed unwanted markers appearing on tools placed on Tool Racks.

Save & Stability

  • Updated save version with additional validators to fix:

    • Stored or invalid actors.

    • Finished or corrupted tasks.

    • Frame-dependent save issues.

  • Improved initialization stability to prevent application hangs.

  • Fixed graphics settings not saving correctly.

World & Misc

  • The Christmas event ended.

  • Removed Twitch Drop and Contest events from the main menu carousel.

  • Fixed fly particles playing on clean tables.

  • Adjusted shed colliders and interaction ramps.

Known Issues:

  • Crashes may still occur during very long play sessions.

  • We are still investigating cases where save files fail to load correctly.

  • The Crusher may not behave correctly in certain edge cases.

  • Some localization strings are still missing.

  • The “Call the Ship” tutorial is missing its description text.

  • Guest opinions about their stay may appear random or inconsistent.

Phew, that's it folks! We'll be back in future with further improvements and enhancements to Hotel Galactic but for now - please enjoy the game!
