HorrorDriven: A story for the road changes
Gameplay changes
Reworked how the player interacts with menus when using a controller. The mouse cursor has been replaced with a grid based selection system when using a controller in menus.
Added another type of compass at the top of the screen so the player can still find their direction if low pixel values are set in the graphics options. It is only active if low pixel values have been set.
Added UI components so that the player can see what number is on a padlock wheel if low pixel values have been set.
Added more craftable upgrades for the car and the player.
The flashlight now drains its batteries when it is on. The batteries quickly recharge when it is turned off.
Reworked the car dash UI.
Added another UI to the car which can give the players more info to help them survive.
Added a tooltip explaining the quick item slot so their purpose is more clear to players.
Made some changes to the UI so texts are more easily readable when looking at bright objects.
Added button prompts.
Reworked the UI so you can now easily switch between the different menus.
Reduced flashlight blink frequency.
Crafting an item or upgrade no longer closes the crafting GUI.
Set default framerate to 60 fps to prevent stuttering and movement issues some players reported.
Increased time enemies are stuck in bear traps.
Increased amount of bear traps the player gets when crafting.
Increased drop rate for defensive items.
Added a lot of more sounds to the game.
Reworked enemy behavior while patrolling buildings to give players a greater chance at escaping once detected.
Improved camera movement while in the car.
Made jumping easier when walking down slopes and when close to a ledge.
Added a new debuff for when the player dies in the game.
Improved interaction with doors.
Reworked voice acting.
Bug fixes
Fixed a UI bug which would allow for more types of interaction choices with an item than would normally be allowed if the player interacted with the item during interaction mode.
Fixed a bug which caused the controller aiming to be inverted by default.
Fixed a bug which would allow the player to unstuck the car before they were able to unlock it and drive it.
Fixed a bug which would prevent the player from healing again if they’d used a first aid kit while at full health.
