Here's a small and quick update!
FEATURES
The corners of the field now dynamically change color depending on whether the player wins with the current hand. (green if the player will win, red if the player will lose)
We understand that it can be bothersome to calculate by hand if any given hand is enough to win.
We are hesitant to add a complete preview of the score so as not to entirely remove the suspense of the scoring sequence.
We hope this proves to be a fine middle ground.
TUTORIAL
The old tutorial was prone to bugs and could easily have some crucial parts missed by the player.
We have completely reworked the tutorial to hopefully provide a better learning experience for new players.
USER INTERFACE & EXPERIENCE
Copies created by lust cards now position themselves in the hand in a more natural way.
Navigation buttons redesigned.
Some basic encounter info text now shows up at the start of each encounter.
WORDING
Encounter info no longer explains card switching for every opponent. It is now explained in the tutorial and understood as a core part of the game that happens with every opponent.
BUG FIXES
Corrupted coin cards no longer preserve their gilded status.
Corrupted cards now appropriately change the color of their value during face-off.
Copies created by lust cards now correctly copy the target's value if it is different from its base value.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The next update will likely be small in nature similarly to this one, as we continue to work on our steam page and the new player experience.
