changedConfigurationYou can configure exactly where the mission is triggered: residential area, industrial area, street, intersection, at one of the countless POI types (Point of interest, e.g., school, supermarket, gas station, bus stop, etc.) or at precisely defined coordinates on the globe. You can also restrict whether a mission should only be triggered during the day or only at night. For random events, you can specify whether the probability of this mission being triggered should increase (e.g., more accidents when the roads are slippery).
changedTranslationsIt is possible to translate the mission into other languages directly in the editor. Which languages you want to translate your missions into is, of course, entirely up to you. Every text that may appear in the mission is automatically identified, and the corresponding translation simply needs to be entered into the text field.
addedTesting and publishingWhen testing, your created mission will be triggered immediately and you will have an unlimited number of vehicles available for testing. After completing the mission, you will return to the editor where you can save and publish the mission. Every valid and saved mission can now be triggered in the normal game. You can also share your missions with other players via the Steam Workshop.

The development of the mission editor is now almost complete, and we would like to give you an insight into how easy it will be to create and share your own missions.

Configuration

You can create both emergencies and additional tasks (which must be completed within a certain period of time) in the editor.

You can configure exactly where the mission is triggered: residential area, industrial area, street, intersection, at one of the countless POI types (Point of interest, e.g., school, supermarket, gas station, bus stop, etc.) or at precisely defined coordinates on the globe. You can also restrict whether a mission should only be triggered during the day or only at night. For random events, you can specify whether the probability of this mission being triggered should increase (e.g., more accidents when the roads are slippery).

Sequence

There are countless possibilities for specifying how a mission should proceed. The editor displays each task as a node in a mission tree. For each task, you can specify a title and description (which is communicated by radio), as well as the urgency (which affects the time limit) and which resources are required to successfully complete the task. You can specify exactly what should happen when the task is successfully completed or fails. The task does not have to be linear: you can draw as many connections to other nodes as you like and specify exactly what is likely to happen. This means that the course of the missions can differ each time they occur.

Decisions

You can also include decisions that the player must make in your missions. In this case, only one of the related tasks can be completed and fulfilled. How good the decision was and what can happen after success or failure can also be precisely determined here with the desired probabilities.

Translations

It is possible to translate the mission into other languages directly in the editor. Which languages you want to translate your missions into is, of course, entirely up to you. Every text that may appear in the mission is automatically identified, and the corresponding translation simply needs to be entered into the text field.

Testing and publishing

Before you can publish your mission, it will be checked for any errors or inconsistencies in your configuration that could cause problems (e.g., missing descriptions, resources, or connections). All problems will be listed, and by clicking on them, you can jump directly to the relevant point and solve the problem. Once everything is correct, you can test your mission in one of your game saves to see if everything works as you intended.

When testing, your created mission will be triggered immediately and you will have an unlimited number of vehicles available for testing. After completing the mission, you will return to the editor where you can save and publish the mission. Every valid and saved mission can now be triggered in the normal game. You can also share your missions with other players via the Steam Workshop.

The possibilities are endless, and we are sure that you will develop numerous exciting missions that will make the game even more varied and long-lasting. We are very much looking forward to your creations!
