Genome Guardian 2 changes
yet another "probably definitely maybe the last update before 0.6.0" update.
🚨 EDIT 1: Had to fix a huge new player softlock + some other bugs, all good now!
🚨 EDIT 2:"Biofuel" Core unlock broken, will trigger in next update.
⚖ BALANCE
"Channel" Gadget: Gain 1 Shield every 1 → 0.5 seconds.
- "Bouncer" BarrelProjectile Damage increased by 100% per Microbe bounce - since Hitscan shots can't Bounce, however, I'll grant em' +100% Damage per Microbe pierced .
- "Tempest" GuardianAdded "Damage -15%" so that it's less of a straight "p53" Guardian upgrade.
"Boombox" Guardian: In various ways I made the difference between quiet and loud music greater (ex. Projectile Velocity, Microbe Speed, and some other things).
- "V1P3-R" MotherboardDNA/Gene slots have changed from 44|33|22|11 to 41|32|23|14, and renamed to "DUK3".
🔄 CHANGES
Gene Warnings:
You know how those colourful warning banners appear next to Gene slots when hovering over Gene? Now they'll show even if the slot is locked or full.
"ACCURACY ALREADY PINPOINT!": Now won't show if the weapon has Wiggliness (which isn't explicitly stated on hover but it's pretty obvious what does & doesn't have it).
Added a bunch more pre-dive warnings.
Minor dive slot UI tweaks.
Minor tweak to Evasion icon.
Knockback Eliminations: Previously, microbes with just the slightest bit of active Knockback could get Knockback-eliminated if they were far enough out, but it felt kinda cheesy so I'm upping how much momentum is required for it to count.
Biomass Deposits: Now grant triple Biomass while TRIPLE BIOMASS! Powerpolyp is active.
- Enzyme AnomalyPrice still has a randomness element but the upper limit changed from 20000 → 10000.
"Exhaust" Mod: Renamed to "Muffler" (so that I can name something else Exhaust).
AACT "Plantaray" Microbe: now moves diagonally in SHMUP Mode.
Unlock Conditions:
"Tempest" Guardian: Apply a total of 100000 → 300000 Knockback to Microbes. Players were unlocking this incredibly early but it takes some more experience with the game to really know how to use Tempest.
- "Cerberus" GuardianThis one, however, new players should be totally fine with - no longer requires DEPTH 3+.
"Crossbow" Hull: Have at least 4 → 5 Armour during a dive.
"Psion" Hull: Have at least 16 → 15 Shield during a dive.
"Tentacle" Platform: Achieve victory at DEPTH 5 → 3+ with the "Spider" Platform.
- "Biofuel" CoreChanged to "achieve max rank on 6 Awards".
"Freon" Mod: Eliminate 2000 → 1000 Microbes with Freeze weapons.
- "Bilayer" ModUpdated unlock condition text to reflect its actual new unlock condition.
Added tracking for various unreleased Guardians/Mods that wasn't present before.
🔨 FIXES
"Dotted" Cone: quadrupled resolution so it looks less trashy when supersized.
"Maw" Guardian: as of a recent update, it was increasing Nanobot Scale a lot more than intended.
"Channel" Gadget: Can now be manually interrupted like other Gadgets.
Text Hover Tooltips: would sometimes appear when not even hovering over text to make them appear.
- SETUP Randomize ButtonFixed (if you know you know).
DATABASE: Selected item images would sometimes appear in the wrong colour.
