Gamedev Beatdown changes
A new update is here for Gamedev Beatdown and we have made a lot of improvements this time!
The feedback on our Discord has been excellent and very helpful! Let us know what you think about the new items and mob behavior.

New
New mob art for melee and ranged grunts and mini-boss variants for all departments.
Manual - New Item for Summoning allies at the start of combat
Plushie - Grants damage reduction to the player
RAM - Allow directly targeting mobs in the back row.
Tank Mobs start rounds with double shield actions.
Ranged mobs move positions to unoccupied tiles after attacks.
Mini-boss ranged mobs move positions to unoccupied tiles after each turn.
Changes
Reinstated item equip limits for locations.
Reinstated employee hiring limits per location.
Items don't always auto-equip if already maximum items are equipped.
Cannot attack units in the back row if someone is in front. RAM item can ignore this behaviour.
Slightly balanced project stat requirements.
Behind the scenes improvements to event and choice management. Can now show additional options based on player choices.
Can measure more granularly personality stats for the player based on the choices made instead of simpler states.
Mouse over updates the current selected node in the progress graph.
Mobs have more predictable action patterns for most battles.
Project launch pay-outs tweaked a tiny bit for some projects.
Bug Fixes
Fixed total completed projects on project launch showing total projects completed in that run instead of throughout the game.
Fixed Cancel button not showing up in target selection phases. Shortcut (Esc) to cancel was still functional.
Items obtained from event rewards were not syncing with items in the inventory purchased from the shop and behaving oddly.
Project progress graph was not resetting to the start when starting a new project, will align properly now.
Employees that got promoted and are still leaving don't show the promotion anymore. It's better to not tell players that the retention effort's failed. ;)
Character Selection screen is properly localized now.
Fixed ground attack notifiers getting reset when multiple mobs were attacking the same tile.
Improved hitboxes on mobs for easier targeting.
Cannot keep playing with negative funds anymore.
Other text and localization fixes for areas that were not very clear.
Single project on the beginning of Act 1 is pre-selected, some players did not find it intuitive to have to select the project first since it was the only option.
Fixed eco actions for mobs.
Fixed a couple of location based achievements that weren't showing up on steam.
