changedThe game is complete for now, and everything works. We will continue to support the game as long as we keep getting solid feedback from players. To have quit our jobs to go indie and making a game to see if we can; has hardened us and made us far better developers than we were in a large corporate environment. It has deepened our relationship with games at a profound level. 10/10 will recommend doing it again. (Keep a full chest of cash stashed up when you make no money from the games, just like in Gamedev Beatdown, see it imitates real life!)

It is finally time. We are taking Gamedev Beatdown out of early access and releasing it into the wild.

It's been a crazy journey for our small team, improving and updating the game while continuing to survive together. We started with a small idea of expressing the frustrations and joys of being a game developer, which has evolved into a much larger game in a very evolutionary style.

The first avatar was a brawler. A fun short experience, but one that didn't work with the rest of the narrative meta and pacing of the game. To a turn-based combat system that flows much smoother and allows for a more relaxed game experience.

We hope to make many more awesome games in the future with a lot more community participation.

While we hope you enjoy the game and get a few laughs out of it, we wanted to leave you with some ancient images from earlier versions of the game, which, while sometimes feel embarrassing, seem to be perfect to showcase how far the game has come since it's early days!

Till the next update!
