addedIn the last devlog I introduced the idea of turning 2D UI into 3D interactions and that the next patch will include a new cooking system and a new expansion area (temporarily only accessible in God Mode).
addedCooking System The developing behind the new cooking system has been put on hold for now since its only missing its final touches:

addedExpansion Area and Story At the time of the previous devlog, I had just barely started the blockout face for the new discoverable areas. Still to this day, I'm making changes here and there, but its coming along great and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all.
addedThe goal for the next patch is to have one area blocked out and filled with props and textures. Then the following patch will include a new area, and so forth until all areas have been designed.
addedI can confirm that as of now, there will be at least 3+ new explorable areas, and at the time that I am writing this devlog, I am currently working on one of the main ones. It is not the final count of exploration sites and I expect there to be more. However, by the time that those three environments have been blocked out, I will start to introduce more gameplay mechanics and leave the area expansions to be a side-addition to the patches instead of the main addition.

In the last devlog I introduced the idea of turning 2D UI into 3D interactions and that the next patch will include a new cooking system and a new expansion area (temporarily only accessible in God Mode).

Since its been a month since the last devlog, here is an update on the progress:

Cooking System The developing behind the new cooking system has been put on hold for now since its only missing its final touches:

  • VFX

  • SFX

  • Shading/Texturing

Expansion Area and Story At the time of the previous devlog, I had just barely started the blockout face for the new discoverable areas. Still to this day, I'm making changes here and there, but its coming along great and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all.

The goal for the next patch is to have one area blocked out and filled with props and textures. Then the following patch will include a new area, and so forth until all areas have been designed.

I can confirm that as of now, there will be at least 3+ new explorable areas, and at the time that I am writing this devlog, I am currently working on one of the main ones. It is not the final count of exploration sites and I expect there to be more. However, by the time that those three environments have been blocked out, I will start to introduce more gameplay mechanics and leave the area expansions to be a side-addition to the patches instead of the main addition.

If I find that the environment building is taking longer than expected, I will push out the cooking system as a separate patch instead.
