Devlog #2

Hey Gamers! Some of you might remember that I had published a roadmap last year. I'm not quite sure if any of you remember the contents of it as it has been removed (due to not wanting to overpromise anything).

Full notes

Full Friend or Foe update

Read the full published notes in a cleaner layout. The original post stays linked below.

Hey Gamers!

addedSome of you might remember that I had published a roadmap last year. I'm not quite sure if any of you remember the contents of it as it has been removed (due to not wanting to overpromise anything). The state of the game has finally headed towards the ending phase though, and as of the next update I have decided that I would like to give the players a new expansion to explore.
addedI was thinking of going ahead and creating a experimental beta version to the game (instead of this "Godmode" approach), but I figured that was more work than needed (plus for you, this means that you would not have to restart the game, change version in properties, etc., just to access this new option). I would also love to include the community in the development as early on as possible so that its not all collected for a single update that COULD take a year to develop.
addedShort and simple. First Update will include bits and pieces of the last explorable territory. For now, the new area won't include any looting, building, animals, notes, checkpoints, story progression events, etc. Just visuals.
changedOn the other hand, I have set my mind to creating a game that uses less/no 2D UI (such as cooking UI, crafting UI, Inventory, etc.). How it all will be done is something I will keep to myself for the moment, but first look into the changes would be the cooking UI. For the next update I have fully removed the UI. Players will now have to physically place the food on the campfire as seen in the preview below:

What does that include you may ask?

The next patch will include "Godmode" that will allow the player to access and view any part of the island. Yes. Everything.

I have decided that I won't be making the other side playable/reachable the intended way (without cheats I mean), as I would like that to be its own update, and I want to leave that for when the other side is more polished and actually playable.

So what can you as a player expect? (without spoiling much of course)

[This is still in development, and might change before the release]

As always, I can't wait to share more with you all and I hope you are as excited as I am!

Best regards,
