Repeated intro
Hello players!

Friend or Foe changes
In this short fifth devlog, lets talk story progression and reputation.
Story
Previous devlog, I discussed the state of the other side of the island, and in the past few months, I have spent time on planning and finishing the greyboxing of different areas to prepare for the end of the game.
Since I know some of you are eager to progress in the story (An honerable mention (contains minor spoilers) is the player that wanted an early sneak peak to the other side of the island), I want to give you the key to the other side.
In previous updates, there has been a focus on improving mechanics, creating wildlife and giving the player freedom to explore and build however they see fit. And while the end is many updates away, the next update will allow further exploration for all players.
You can expect to access
new places
learn the inside out of every available walkable path
but you will have to wait for deeper exploration and additional story details such as
story notes
new items
new animals
endings
As usual, the update does not have an official release date, but I hope to share this part of the game with you soon.
Reputation
Post exploration update, there will be a few changes to resource collection and building. The game has a heavy focus on how animals are treated, but not a big enough focus on the consequences of harming nature itself.
Up until now, players have been able to cut trees, bushes and plants with no consequences, but for the building patch, players reputation will decrease as a consequence of these actions. Of course, that also means there will be a different option to players that want to go the friendly route, but also would like to build a cozy home. More on that will appear in the next devlog.
Until next devlog :)
