Welcome to the fourth Campfire Checkpoint!
Hi Fellows,
Today the Campfire Checkpoint includes a spotlight on our Creators and some early insight into the Communities feature. We also have a new Show & Tell video coming later this week with some really cool updates!
So grab a snack, maybe a mug of something warm, and settle in. Welcome to the Campfire Checkpoint.
FIRST LOOK - Communities
A much-needed check-in on our Communities feature!
In case you missed it, we have briefly mentioned the upcoming Communities feature before, but we wanted to give you a clearer look at where things stand right now. Over the past couple of months, it has grown significantly and is now at a point where we are ready to give you a proper peek behind the curtain at what we have been working on. The feature is coming along really well, and while it is not something you will see before EAS3, it is shaping up to be a major addition we are really excited about!
Here’s what it currently includes:
You can join multiple Communities at the same time, each with their own dedicated chatroom
Chat history is preserved to a certain extent, showing a set number of recent messages (this is still being workshopped and may be adjusted based on feedback). This includes messages sent while you were offline, so you can catch up when you return.
Communities can be either public or private
Public Communities can be joined freely and is shown when searching
Private Communities require an invite and is not shown when searching
Community Creators act as moderators
They can kick members from the community (players can rejoin unless blocked)
If a player is blocked, they cannot rejoin
They can set the "Message of the Day"
Community Creators can promote other members to Moderators allowing them to assist with moderation without giving full control over the community itself. In the future we may expand this system to include more roles
A search system that allows you to find communities based on specific criteria(s)
Communities can be customized with Icons and Tags.
Communities can use Tags for easy filtering and discovery, such as Casual, Hardcore, Farming, or Pushing.
We have not locked a final cap on Community size yet, but we will likely start around ~200 members and scale based on feedback and performance
You will be able to select a favorite Community and this Community will then be displayed in your profile tooltip.
A little sneak peek WIP UI for Communities
This is still a work in progress but we would love some feedback on what you, the community, would like to see in the Communities feature. This is not the last time you will hear about this as we will share more as we get closer to release.
MEET SOME OF OUR CREATORS
As you might know, a while ago we launched a new initiative where you can sign up to be part of our Creator Program. If you missed it and are interested, you can still apply by filling out this form .
Invites will be rolling out in waves, so do not worry if you have not heard back yet or think you have missed your chance. In the meantime, here is a short introduction from some more of our creators. Be sure to go show them some love!
Dying:
"Coming from a background as a high-end raider and .1% M+ player in WoW, I’ve been a healer main since the first public tests of Fellowship. Originally a dps-only player, I swapped roles to fill a gap in my first team and I stayed in this role even after we eventually disbanded. From the first season where I was playing Sylvie only, to this one, where I'm playing Aeona. My ideal goal is to master all healers so I can swap between seasons (or mid-season) without a learning curve, and to provide occasional support to other players in the class channels.
I’m drawn to the faster pace and the fact that the game focuses purely on what I actually enjoy and I also love that I can log in and immediately get to the good stuff."

Diablow:
"A WoW veteran of 20+ years (99.9% Achievements), I’ve played at a high level, from CE raiding to high-end Mythic+ pushing. To me, Fellowship is the natural evolution of that experience, perfecting the gameplay loop and art style I’ve always loved.
Currently #1 Helena and a main since Alpha, my content focuses purely on high-level pushing. I play exclusively via mouseclicking, a habit I’ve kept from WoW, regardless of the content's complexity. On my stream, you’ll find top-tier gameplay and an energetic playlist, all within a calm and focused atmosphere. I am French, but I communicate mostly in English (both chat and comms)."

Nysaliwow:
"I'm a healer main through and through, if there's a way to keep the party alive, I'm obsessed with finding it. If there is a way of doing more damage as a healer, I am also obsessed with it. While I dabble in a bit of everything, healers are where my heart is, and my content reflects that. Expect deep dives and analysis into healer gameplay, dungeon strategies, and all the little tricks that make runs smoother
Why Fellowship? Honestly, it just clicks. I love the plug-and-play style, the way combat feels, and especially I love running dungeons on every game, so finding this game was a blessing. There's something so satisfying about fighting well designed and hard mobs and racing against time that makes me want to jump back in every time.
I am from Spain, but the content is all made in English.
Other things to know
I stream every week, at least 4 times.
WoW background (Holy Paladin main woo). I haven't played it so much tho, only started in Battle for Azeroth Expansion, and haven't really played since The War Within Season 1.
Big League of Legends / DotA past. Played League since 2010 or so. Played DotA as a kid but I didn't know what I was doing. Played Dota2 on and off since its release.
Love books through and through, especially fantasy books.
Quite Competitive person but don't lean into toxicity. Left that back on my teenage years in League. Love teaching people, and love learning myself.
Love data & excels (I am weird sorry)
Bit of a yapper
Has a good hairline after maining healer for 2 seasons. Which means stress doesn't get to me."

SHOW & TELL - New Video Coming this Week!
Show & Tell is something we do internally at the studio, where team members share what they have been working on with the rest of the team. It has become a really fun and valuable way for us to highlight progress, exchange ideas, and get excited about what is being made.
We like it so much that we want to bring that same concept to you.
Later this week, we will be releasing a Show & Tell video, featuring interviews with some members of the Chief Rebel team and a closer look at what they have been working on. There is some really exciting stuff in there, along with a few important and exciting updates that will be good to know going forward.
To not miss it, make sure to check out our YouTube channel.
Thanks for reading, you've made it to the end!
