Repeated intro
Hey everyone, patch 0.4.1.2 is here with some very large changes to base building that have been requested for some time now along with a large optimization of the game install size (around about a 10gb reduction), along with some bug fixes and general improvements.

The next major update has also been heavily in development for a few months now and it's going to a big one with one particular change (keeping it under wraps for now) that has not only been requested for a long time but is also going to fundamentally change the entire game for the better. I will be sharing more details on the next major update late January/early February.

Added
Ability to move placed objects in base building mode
Added new free placement mode to base building
Added axis lock to base building (lock movements to vertical or horizontal axis for fine tuning)
Added new power relay nodes to base building parts
Improvements
Massively optimised install size (14GB down to 4–5GB)
Reduced zombie horde chance for base events
Increased base event interval
Increased minimum base threat level required to trigger zombie horde events
Runner wandering trader will no longer visit your base if you are not friendly with the Runners
Cleaned up snap points for wooden walls, ceilings, and wooden platforms
Added ceiling/2nd floor snap point to the top of interior stairs
Added support beam snap points to the top and bottom of support beams, allowing them to be stacked
Greatly improved the number of items that can be disassembled for materials using a multi tool
Added new info to player status bars in the inventory screen for better clarity on each effect
Any non-structure parts like walls, floors, and roofs can now be picked up and returned to the player’s inventory
Removed highlight glow around interactable objects in favour of the interact prompt
Reworked large parts of the save/load system to be more stable and safe
Reworked how bases are loaded behind the scenes to ensure large bases load efficiently
Reworked garbage collection system to be far more performant and reduce stutter
Visual tweaks to location notification popup
Optimisations
Several large improvements to rendering of distant base parts

Bright red/orange screen issue affecting integrated GPUs
Liberty soldiers not being able to fire pump-action shotguns
Added further safety checks to prevent lost storage items
Fixed a bug that could cause items sold/bought to lose sync with the inventory grid they belong to
Fixed a bug that could cause the message “this item can’t be sold” to incorrectly appear on rare occasions when attempting to buy
Fixed wooden floors not snapping to wooden foundations correctly
Fixed wooden shutters not opening and closing correctly
Fixed Sal and Military Quartermaster sharing the same ID for dynamic missions, leading to each waiting on completion of the other’s mission at times (this fix will not work until all outstanding dynamic missions in the player’s log have been completed)
Fixed a bug that could allow the interaction menu to be used again while already interacting, leading to a player soft lock
Fixed M16 red dot and holographic sights having incorrect aim positions
Fixed a bug that could cause attachments to get lost/stuck when equipping via double-click
Fixed ammo type selection button being incorrect for controllers
Fixed player-placed storage being destroyable in base building mode even when it contains items
Fixed some icons on the map disappearing on rare occasions
Fixed an issue where saving and loading within a base could cause the player to get stuck under the base
