Early Access Update 3 is now live. This update adds return teleportation for the RCS-01, improves dodge mechanics, introduces Feature Guide dialogs for previously unexplained moves, and includes several quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes.
--- RETURN TELEPORTATION (RCS-01) ---
The Teleportation Device RCS-01 now supports round trips.
- Use the device in the field to teleport to the Anchor Record. Your departure point is saved.
- Use the device again to return to where you teleported from.
- A confirmation dialog is displayed before every teleport to prevent accidental activation.
--- PHASE REWIND ---
When you die and respawn at your camp, the RCS-01 automatically saves the last safe coordinates before your death. Use the device to teleport back to that safe location and resume the fight.
--- COMBAT IMPROVEMENTS ---
Dodge:
- Enemy stagger duration after Perfect Dodge extended (1s → 2s)
- Perfect Dodge success window increased (0.1s → 0.15s)
- Dodge Counter, the counterattack following a Perfect Dodge, now guarantees a stagger on hit against humanoid enemies
Balance:
- Serena's base defense increased, reducing damage taken by approximately 35%
Recovery:
- Player recovery time from knockdown reduced (3s → 1s)
- Players are now invincible during the get-up animation after being knocked down
--- FEATURE GUIDE DIALOGS ---
In-game explanations now appear the first time you perform certain moves:
- Phase Shift Strike / Chain Strike
- Side Wall Run
- Dodge / Perfect Dodge / Dodge Counter
Each dialog appears once per move and pauses the game so you can read at your own pace.
--- DIFFICULTY SELECTION SCREEN ---
The difficulty selection screen now includes descriptions of Survival Mode and Story Mode, along with a note that the difficulty can be changed at any time from the Options menu.
--- OPTIONS MENU TIME PAUSE ---
Game time now pauses while the Options menu is open. You can confirm the time pause status in the bottom-left display.
--- INPUT SYSTEM ---
The input detection system has been reworked from state-based polling to event-based triggering. This fixes an issue where certain actions could remain stuck in a held state after remapping buttons.
--- CRAFTING ---
- The Smithy recipe is now unlocked by crafting the Smelter, making the progression path clearer.
--- BUG FIXES ---
- Fixed an issue where Quantum Teleportation Device IDs could disappear under certain conditions
- Fixed an issue where dropping a Teleportation Device and losing the item would not recover it — the device is now restored to your inventory
- Fixed an issue where getting hit during certain sword attacks could leave the player unable to act
- Reduced the chance of the player character getting stuck inside the floor (added Continuous Collision Detection to the player capsule)
--- KNOWN ISSUE ---
- Enemies may occasionally pass through walls. This is caused by the enemy stuck-recovery system and will be addressed in a future update.
--- COMING NEXT ---
Update 4 will focus on combat and parkour action improvements, as previewed in our earlier Steam News post.
