Development has moved forward since our last progress report. Here is where things stand as we head toward the Update 4 release.
Parkour Controls — Testing Complete
The input tightening work — a height threshold for hurdle jumps and a front-wall check before Side Wall Run activates — has been implemented and tested. These changes will ship with Update 4. We will continue to tune based on your feedback after release.
Weapon Combinations — Review Done, Combo Guide GUI Complete
The combination review and the Combo Guide UI are both done.
Select a weapon in your inventory, press a button, and a dedicated screen opens showing that weapon's full branching combo tree — normal chain, delay branch, directional branch. Button prompts update automatically to match your language and input device. The depth of each weapon, which was not always easy to discover in play, is now something you can check at your own pace.
Trap & Facility Placement — Testing in Progress
Work on lifting placement restrictions continues. We have removed every restriction that previously limited high-tier facilities to the area around the Anchor Record. On top of that, land mines have had their placement rules relaxed as far as we could push them. With this added freedom, there is real potential to bring down a wide variety of enemies with well-placed mines. We plan to open up the other traps in the same way.
How far we can push this by the time Update 4 ships will depend on testing. Our goal is to deliver the most open state we can, within the limits of avoiding progression blockers and camera issues.
Alongside the items above, Update 4 will also include a range of smaller improvements and bug fixes.
Update 4 is almost here. Thank you for your continued support of EXELIO.
