Erenshor v0.3: Rising Shadows Patch Notes

GUILDS

  • Character guild creation added

  • Guild UI added, view current guilds, open roster, invite SimPlayers

  • Guilds have ranks: Guilds who help their members gain rank.

  • There is a"Friends Club"guild: A snobby guild that will not group with the player and will try to compete with you.

  • "Gods of Erenshor" events: The Gods of Erenshor will periodically challenge players to slay a randomly selected mob. The Guild(s) who do this will gain rank. "Friends Club" will regularly compete against you for this challenge.

  • The top ranked guild will enjoy a bonus to all loot rolls, increasing the odds of rare items or multiple drops slightly.

  • Guild now shows on /who

  • Guildmates can ask for help obtaining items via guild quests, and do appreciate being present for the drop.

  • Guildmates will ask for and answer with advice in guild chat

  • All players will start the game in "Erenshor's Young" - a beginner guild. You may leave at will.

RELIQUARY

  • Players now gain access to the Reliquary (located in Port Azure, accessible by portal)

  • Reliquary is PERSISTENT between your characters. What one character gains, all will enjoy.

  • Reliquary can be customized with furniture, shops, banks, auction house, and cosmetics - some furniture can be purchased however most of it is found as rare drops in areas around the world.

  • Players can summon their guild to the Reliquary at will

  • When a player Portals to the Reliquary, the portal is persistent, and entering it again will return the player to their original location

  • New "Furniture Vendor" in Port Azure

FEATURES AND SYSTEMS

  • In-game GM added

  • In-game prison for breaking rules

  • Added Population slider to server admin panel

  • Server reset button now works mid-session

  • UI can be locked, cast bar can now be repositioned

  • Added Vertical Camera Offset slider to camera options

  • New spell lines "Fear" are added. These will make your target disengage and flee.

SIMPLAYER AI AND BEHAVIOR

  • SimPlayers answer basic questions in /say, /shout, and /guild (e.g. Where does X spawn, where does Y drop)

  • New Slider on "Server Admin Panel" allows you to increase SimPlayer population on your server. (Increases load times and possibility of low frame-rate in some crowded areas)

  • SimPlayers now auto-join your group when arriving at your location

  • SimPlayer sends a tell when attacked while traveling to a group to alert you to why they're not there

  • SimPlayers are more likely to group naturally in the world

  • SimPlayers will now leave their existing groups and join yours without requiring two invites

  • Groups of SimPlayers are more likely to camp locations instead of flooding zones

  • Reduced frequency of lone, overly aggressive SimPlayers charging into high-level zones

  • New Group Manager toggle allowing party fear-kiting tactics

  • SimPlayer hair and skin colors are now consistent between sessions

COMBAT AND BALANCE

  • Stormcaller Bleed Damage is now capped at 10,000 per tick.

  • Low health aggro added - damaging a mob while you're low life may draw its attention

  • Mobs will now flee if alone, below 12 percent HP, and not undead or a boss

  • Duelist early & mid-game damage bump

  • Cleave and Stun Strike no longer require two-handed weapons

CLASSES AND SPELLS

  • REAVER class added

    • Multiple stances for tanking, aggression, and aggro generation

    • Damage over time spells

    • Fear spells

    • Area effect taunt and debuff spell

    • Melee DPS with magic elements

    • Gains buffs as HP is lost

    • Class Vendors in Stowaway, Willowwatch, and Port Azure

    • Many spells and skills 'dropped' from mobs

  • New druid spell: Ensnaring Roots (Level 21, sold in Fernalla)

    • Applies a movement speed debuff

AUDIO

  • Music will now fade in and out as you play, adding weight to it, while giving environmental ambience room to shine

  • Many new ambient / environmental sounds

FISHING

  • Fishing will now automatically re-cast after an attempt as long as you remain still and have inventory space

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed adding ascensions to blank slots (you can't now)

  • Existing empty ascension entries are now cleaned up automatically

  • Fixed "name taken" bug (error was not being displayed)

  • Fixed SimPlayer hair color inconsistency

  • Fixed SimPlayer skin color inconsistency

  • Fixed Steam Deck and game pad crash on "Press Any Button" screen caused by the "Quit" being the active UI element at the time

OTHER

  • There are many other, smaller changes in this patch as well

NOTE:

  • The SimPlayer's ability to answer questions is made possible by the creation of a "game knowledge database" which is built at runtime, and may increase initial game load time by ~5 seconds, depending on your system.
