Echoes of Sin: Confusion - Development Update
We want to share an important update regarding the development of Echoes of Sin: Confusion.
After our first closed beta test, it became clear that the game wasn’t ready to deliver the experience we’re aiming for. Based on the feedback we received, we made the decision to delay the release and focus more on polishing the game.
This does seem like the right choice.
Since then, we’ve been working intensively on improving every aspect of the game:
The world now feels significantly more alive and immersive
Over 400 new sound effects have been added to enhance atmosphere (while some older ones were removed)
The overall tone has been pushed further into a darker, more unsettling direction
All maps are now fully implemented and functional — currently being refined visually, with audio and effects
Major performance optimizations have been completed, resulting in up to 150% better performance on low-end PCs
Improvements to shaders, lighting systems, and overall visual quality
Introduced new game mechanic using a real life asset.
We are also working on Japanese localization, which is currently in production and will be available soon.
This phase of development is focused on polishing - taking what we´ve already built and pushing it to the level it deserves.
Finally, thank you to everyone who participated in the closed testing and shared feedback. It directly shapes the game.
We’re getting closer.
