Quest and Zone Overhaul (v31)
This is a large quest, world, and localization update. It adds 42 new quest entries, including 33 side quests and 9 main-story quest steps, introduces full localization support, and rebuilds major parts of the late-game route.
Localization
Added full localization support across the game.
Added translated language support for the supported languages.
Added Japanese/CJK-capable text rendering.
Added in-game language cycling with F7.
Quests
Added 42 new quest entries: 33 side quests and 9 main-story quest steps.
Added new quest chains and follow-ups across Havenford, Traveller's Rest, Stonecleft, Highmark, Ghostwood, Reedmire, and late-game areas.
Added Pilgrimage, Moonwell Alignment, Cleansing the Vault, Northern Watch, Perfect Draught, Moon-Bitten Cave, Orders for Kestrel, Buried Highwind, Elderwyrm Grove, Rockmaw Keep, Ghostwood/Missing Patrols, and more.
Added clearer quest progression, route hints, proof drops, and quest-driven world changes.
Added stronger and more bespoke quest rewards, including new artifacts and special reward items.
Late Game Route
Added 5 new playable zones: Istarian Tunnels, Elven Passageways, Istarian Sanctum, Old Imperial Lighthouse, and Old Imperial Lighthouse Basement.
Reworked the final descent into clearer named route sections with the Ancient Dwarven Gate and Final Blood Seal progression beats.
Retuned Sundering Depths as the main blackglass descent.
Retuned Starfall Core into a tighter final pressure zone.
Retuned Ash Tower to the level 10-12 range and upgraded Maeroth into an elder red dragon encounter.
World And Zone Reworks
Reworked or expanded many existing zones, including Ghostwood, Elderwyrm Grove, Stillwater Oasis, Saltmere Caverns, Lesser Scar Breach, Starfall Core, Underway Pass, East Gate, Glassroot Hollow, Starfall Burrow, Bandit Toll Camp, Desolate Docks, White Vault, Moonwell Tunnels, Oldroot Temple, and more.
Renamed Shalehook Mine to Abandoned Mine.
Added regional wilderness encounter tables and more route-specific encounter pressure.
Improved generated-zone reachability.
Added gray ooze armor corrosion.
Retuned dark-area awareness penalties for traps, pits, and secret doors.
Player Systems And Items
Added player-facing Hidden stealth and stealth/backstab tuning.
Added weapon poison coating items.
Changed spellbook and tome study into timed inventory use.
Added male/female character creation selection.
Added flail weapon skill group.
Changed Fighter abilities: Called Strike is now a never-miss heavy attack, Whirlwind attacks every adjacent enemy with normal attacks, and Barge has revised wall-impact behavior.
Added new spell scroll and wand variants, corpse preservation ointment, rare Lucky affixes, and clearer generated jewelry names.
Equipped shields now apply an ATK penalty based on shield weight.
High DEX now softens dual-wield heft penalties.
Weapon skills can now gain practice from missed attacks.
Successful thievery-style utility actions now award small XP, including lockpicking, trap disarming, corpse rummaging, and similar checks.
UI, Controls, And Polish
Added quest markers for important NPCs and locations.
Added a Show Quest Markers option with All, Adventure Mode, and None.
Added configurable gamepad stick controls and D-pad diagonal options.
Improved options scrolling, catalog details, catalog boss listings, sprite quest marker readability, and native music streaming robustness.
Added half-orc social penalties, dialogue variants, town flavor, and more regional rumor chatter.
Ordinary shops now stock larger projectile stacks.
Roped pits now remain visible after exploration.
