addedSpeaking of tasks, we have introduced a brand new system in this update that enables you to assign your employees, in particular baristas, to specific equipment. This stops their automatic behavior where they can essentially choose any available piece and should make them more predictable. This is entirely optional and can be set by either talking to the employee or pressing 4 (Default key) and using the assign employee tool.
fixedCorrected a critical issue with the way baristas work to stop them from throwing out mugs when they hit a failure state.
fixedCorrected a critical issue with employee pathing to ensure they can always cleanly find their way to picking items up. An item against a wall that should easily be fetchable was causing issues that should now be corrected.
addedAdded a one-off system to restore the mugs the baristas decided to send into the void. This should correct the number of mugs you have available to you when you re-load your game.
addedImplemented a new system that enables the player to assign employees to specific pieces of equipment. This stops them from automatically assigning themselves to equipment you might want to use
addedImplemented a new fade effect to your employees; now, when they are super close, they will cease to be interactive and hide, enabling them to still do their job without them getting in the way of what you are doing

This update focused heavily on improving the behavior of the employee system. One critical issue we solved in this update was baristas throwing out coffee mugs. To help rectify this, we have a one-time fix that will automatically restore any mugs that have been lost to the void, as long as you still have the cup holder they belonged to.

On top of this, you should find employees a lot less painful to work around; they will fade out of your view if you are too close to them, and they will stop being interactive. This should enable you to work in peace while they also continue on with their assigned tasks.

There are also a wealth of other fixes included in this update.

  • Corrected a critical issue with the way baristas work to stop them from throwing out mugs when they hit a failure state.

  • Corrected a critical issue with employee pathing to ensure they can always cleanly find their way to picking items up. An item against a wall that should easily be fetchable was causing issues that should now be corrected.

  • Added a one-off system to restore the mugs the baristas decided to send into the void. This should correct the number of mugs you have available to you when you re-load your game.

  • Implemented a new system that enables the player to assign employees to specific pieces of equipment. This stops them from automatically assigning themselves to equipment you might want to use

  • Implemented a new fade effect to your employees; now, when they are super close, they will cease to be interactive and hide, enabling them to still do their job without them getting in the way of what you are doing

  • Move, design, and the new assign mode will all temporarily hide the order bar.

  • Fixed plates stacking weirdly onto the tray when the tray is moved around.

  • Fixed the takeaway containers, enabling you to place them back while it still has something in them.

  • Expanded the restocking functionality of waiters; they can now restock your consumables like takeaway cups and lines

  • Add additional safeguarding to stop the outline effect remaining on objects it shouldn't be

  • If you hire an employee at the end of the day (AFTER CLOSE), you will no longer be made to pay their wage until the next day.

  • You can now easily throw out spoiled goods from the tray without throwing out the tray itself.

  • Corrected an issue that would stop us from being able to use dark colors on walls and other materials.

  • Fixed an issue with cleaning dirty dishes: if you have a plate and a mug stacked on each other, only one of those will be cleaned. We now pull down stacks so each item will get washed individually and correctly.

  • Rubbish bags generated by the knock box can now be put in the normal trash bin.

  • Fixed the material swapper not working with darker colors

  • Added several new color variants that can be applied.

  • Fixed the takeout surcharge missing from the pricing page

  • Fixed an issue which could cause coffee bags to not be disposed of when empty

  • Fixed a bug that allowed text to overflow out of the milk jug inspection panel

  • Fixed a bug that could cause interact visuals to remain after a hold action

  • Fixed an issue where, if you changed a table variant, the customers could end up sitting around the wrong way
