[Devlog] May 2026 - Week 2

Welcome to the week 74 devlog. Somehow I've screwed up the very simple premise of posting these devlogs at a faster rate to catch them up.

changedI did do a bit of work on getting interactions with objects working for the crafting events so the pawn are now moving items to chests like they are supposed to. There are still quite a few corner cases which are crashing the game almost all the time, so I still have some work to do there. It will likely be something I have to bug hunt or refactor to make it easier to edit. It's looking rather spaghetti right now.
addedI'm in the process of getting the next 100 tiles added to the Infinite Floorplanner, which to my surprise has been rather popular. So I figured I might as well expand it's content to further add to its utility. It's one of those things where the more you add to it the better it becomes. I'll probably be adding it as a free download on DriveThruRPG sometime this weekend.

Pawn AI

I did do a bit of work on getting interactions with objects working for the crafting events so the pawn are now moving items to chests like they are supposed to. Writing

Chapter 23 of Keygemin Barter has been posted up on Royal Road. As the crew gets into their next confrontation with the Queen. I am in the process of finishing up Chapter 24 as well, with any luck that will be up later tonight. With two more chapters complete by the next devlog post. I really want to get this book finished, as you well know.

Side Projects

I'm in the process of getting the next 100 tiles added to the Infinite Floorplanner, which to my surprise has been rather popular. Eventually, I'll be publishing Barter to paperback. I've been trying to think about how the cover art is going to look, so I made a two tone filter for the existing AI art. Not sure if I like it, but I'll have to figure out something soon.

Still targeting the pawn AI code. Truth is this game is going to take a while to finish because of my personal hang ups, and its scope. ^--^ We'll get there slowly but surely.
