[Devlog] June 2026 - Week 2

Welcome to the 78th week devlog for Cosmic Construct. So far behind on these that it's not even funny. I'll post the next one up quickly so I have some semblance of schedule.

What changed

0 fixes1 addition3 changes0 removals
  • Server
  • UI and audio
  • Performance
  • Gameplay
changedThe Cosmic Construct community discord server .
changedAnyhow, importantly the entire book is now written. All of the content drafting is done, and now I need to do editing because its chock full of typos. In fact, the first chapter has had its edit pass already, and I'll be doing even more editing today.
changedIt took forever to get LaTeX to render the text with microtype and font stretch to get a text density I wanted while also looking good justified. I think I'm finally happy with it, thought it might need the occasional adjustment. I also need to change up the section titles.
addedThe book has a bunch of images that need to be made. They aren't required for the book to be considered complete. so I am free to add more over time. However, as a product, having image will help it's quality greatly. Superhero comics are a visual medium after all.

Orros

I've spent almost my entire week formatting the Orros book, writing content for it, and playing Eterspire. Needless to say, the amount of time I spent playing Eterspire kind of distorted how long my week was, and made this post late. What will I ever do about that, you should know by now.

Anyhow, importantly the entire book is now written. All of the content drafting is done, and now I need to do editing because its chock full of typos. In fact, the first chapter has had its edit pass already, and I'll be doing even more editing today.
