The plan is to have save games remain compatible (and automatically sync) with the final release in the future, so any grinds you make in the demo should be safe! While the demo has unlimited playtime, the final release of the game will have much more content than what is available in the demo. This is a general list of what new content you can expect in the full release:
- Much bigger world with more biomes, villages and cities
- Higher tiered resources and items available for each skill
- More varied wizardry spells, sorcery hexes, and prayers
- More buildable rooms in the estate house plot
- Many more higher level monsters, including some boss monsters
- Many new longer and more challenging quests
- Dungeons that you have to complete by killing progressively stronger enemies until you get a reward at the end
- Errands, where you get assigned a set number of items to produce or monsters to kill for extra XP and rewards
- Tasks with skill level requirements that you can complete for extra rewards
- Statistics that help you keep track of unique loot drops
- More and better ways to train stamina, construction, and exploration
- Craftable ballistic ammo and magic crystals
- Refining of scrap back to raw materials or converting it into different types of scrap
- Tradesmen that will buy any item for cheap
- Gems that can enhance certain shooting ammo and sorcery weapons
- Rare weapon attachment drops that can enhance basic weapons and give them special attacks
- Fermenting of prayer boosting brews
- More varied food types that allow multiple bites but heal less per bite
- More music tracks
The Copperfell demo was released to the public for the first time 2 weeks ago. Since then, I've updated the game with some fixes and improvements in preparation for the Steam Next Fest. Here's all the changes that made it in so far:
- Fixed limestone rocks not giving out any items
- Filling a kettle with ingredients now gives a little Brewing XP
- Gravestone fees can now be paid using money inside the gravestone storage itself
- Added a new pathway to the north to make the northern cave less easy to miss
- Fixed wrong cooking ingredients for mutton and beef
- Lowered level requirements for clay products
- Added some more quest XP rewards
- Updated requirements for Crystal Clear quest
- Improved dialog and instructions in Crystal Clear quest
- Slightly reduced Defense and Health XP rates
- Updating herb harvesting animation
- Fixed planted herb pots having no colliders
- Fixed an issue with mob sounds sometimes getting quieter after respawning
- Fixed equipped sprite colors for ghostly slippers
- Improvements to shadow rendering
- Center screen windows now render behind main UI like the inventory in case of narrow aspect ratios
- Fixed issues with context menu when playing in a maximized window
Enjoy the Copperfell demo, along with any other demos you get to play in the Steam Next Fest!
