Pedestrian Infrastructure & Movement Update

Development on Checkpoint 19 continues with major improvements to pedestrian transportation, movement systems, and checkpoint infrastructure.

Pedestrians Arrive Through Vehicle Transport

Pedestrians are now transported by vehicles and dropped off at dedicated Pedestrian Transfer Points before continuing through the border as individual travelers.

This change creates a more realistic flow of people through the checkpoint and further connects vehicle traffic with pedestrian processing operations.

Sidewalk & Crossing System Added

To support the growing pedestrian systems, movement rules have been expanded.

Pedestrians and staff are now only allowed to move on sidewalks and road crossings, creating more realistic movement patterns throughout the checkpoint.

A new Sidewalk infrastructure piece has also been added and can be built directly from the Roads construction menu.

Road Crossings

Players can now create road crossings by building a sidewalk over an existing road.

These crossings allow pedestrians and staff to safely navigate the checkpoint while creating new considerations when planning traffic flow and checkpoint layouts.

As pedestrian systems continue to evolve, the goal is to create a more realistic and interconnected border management experience where vehicles, pedestrians, infrastructure, and staff all play a critical role in daily operations.

More updates coming soon.
