📦 Patch Notes 0.7.62
🎯 Major Update: Save Slots, Fair Races & Stability
This patch addresses two of the community’s most requested features:
✅ You can finally capture cities after winning a race!
✅ Save slots are here — save key moments and return to them anytime!
We’ve also done a deep bug cleanup, refined the economy, and fixed rare hangs.
⚠️ Important: Due to minor changes in the save system, captured buildings and representative positions on the global map may reset. If this happens, simply delete the file GlobalSave.sav (path: C:\\Users[YourName]\\AppData\\Local\\CarFactoryEmpire\\Saved\\SaveGames) or start a new game.
💾 Save System – Long-Awaited Improvement
Save slots are now available: save your game to separate files and return to any moment you choose.
On first launch, your existing saves are automatically migrated into slots named after your factory.
⚠️ Due to map data changes, captured buildings may reset — see instructions above.
🏁 Races – Fairness & Completion
Fixed critical city capture bug: winning a race now always transfers the city and updates prestige.
Races now end automatically as soon as the first bot finishes — no need to drive to the finish if you’ve lost.
Anti-spam protection for city attacks: if multiple bots are near a city, only one race attempt is triggered per cycle.
🛠️ UI & Controls
Esc now properly closes all submenus in the main menu: Settings, About, Game Info, and New Game.
Enter pauses the game even when a manager is selected — bug fixed.
Esc on race tracks now correctly dismisses the pause menu, not just opens it.
Fixed incorrect button text in the Shop: “Sell Resources” buttons now display accurate and clear labels.
Bank now shows prices per resource pack, not per unit — no more confusion.
⚙️ Economy & Production
Bank fuel prices rebalanced for consistency with other vendors.
Base Fuel Plant now correctly provides +10 fuel/day (was showing +5).
Fixed Parts Factory (Level 3) contract production:
— Now grants +15 contracts/day (was +1),
— Gains full immunity from Inspectors and bots, like all other factories,
— Initializes correctly on load.
Marketing campaigns in Administration can no longer be queued: wait for the current campaign to finish.
🏭 Design Bureau & Localization
Seat selection in Design Bureau is now fully functional — install any seat you’ve unlocked.
Fixed English localization error: in the Assembly Workshop, “Marriage” was replaced with the correct term “Defect”.
🔊 Audio & Performance
Nitro sound volume reduced by 50% — no longer drowns out other audio.
Fuel consumption in races is now accurate: powerful engines (V8 R2, etc.) consume fuel as intended.
Fixed rare freeze on day 60–70 during level loading — no more hangs.
🛡️ Stability
Fixed bug causing permanent loss after a race win — results are now always calculated correctly.
