📦 Patch Notes 0.7.61

🛠️ Focus on Stability, Fairness, and Convenience

This patch fixes several frustrating bugs, rebalances the economy, and makes races more predictable. We’ve also introduced a more realistic fuel system and given players better control—especially during intense moments when multiple cities attack you at once.

🏁 Races & City Captures

Cities now transfer ownership correctly after a race victory: fixed a critical bug where winning had no effect on ownership or prestige.

After a successful capture or defense, a city gains 360 seconds (2 in-game days) of immunity:

— Bots cannot attack it again,

— Bots ignore the city when planning routes.

Added “Quick Race” for enemy cities—for players who want to capture a city without manually driving.

Quick Race odds rebalanced: now 2:1 in favor of the current city owner (a more complex formula is coming).

Fixed game freezes during simultaneous multi-city attacks—no more crashes when 3+ cities strike at once.

⛽️ Economy & Fuel — Full Rework

Fuel prices rebalanced to prevent races from bankrupting your company:

— Factory: 10 units for $500,

— Gas Station: $25–$50 per unit.

Unified fuel scale introduced:

— 1 economic fuel unit = 10 liters in races.

— Example: a car with 20L in its tank = 2.0 units from your global stock.

— Refueling 18L at a pit stop deducts 1.8 units from your total reserves.

→ This fixes the “illogical” mismatch: your factory’s fuel stock is no longer equal to a single car’s tank.

Base Oil Refinery now produces +10 fuel/day (was +5).

— Updated tooltip in Administration reflects the new value.

Fixed fuel display discrepancy:

— Resource panel and central HUD now show identical fuel amounts.

Added visual and audio low-fuel alerts:

— “Fuel” indicator lights up at ≤5L.

🤖 Bot & Manager Behavior

Managers respond again after Inspector encounters—no more freezing in place.

Bots always return to base after defeat—fixed a bug where they sometimes stayed on the map.

Bot respawn delay after defeat increased to 360 seconds (2 in-game days)—giving you real breathing room.

🏭 Production & UI

Defect rate now correctly displays % on T2/T3 assembly lines—no more blank values next to the word “Defect”.

Vehicle name length increased to 20 characters—now you can give your cars meaningful names in any language.

🕹️ Controls & Main Menu

Esc now works consistently everywhere:

— In main menu: closes Settings, About, Game Info, and New Game screens,

— On race tracks: opens and closes the pause menu with repeated presses.

This patch is a direct response to your feedback from Steam, email, and testing.

We know: small things like a fuel warning light or 20-character names are what make the game truly yours.

Thank you for speaking up!
