Car Factory Empire changes
Dear Players!
It’s been just a few days since the launch of Car Factory Empire, and so much has already happened! Together, we’ve done incredible work identifying and fixing bugs—and while many issues still remain in the game, we’re confident they’re only temporary.
Today, we’d like to share with you what Car Factory Empire truly means to us—our original vision and ambition.
At its core, Car Factory Empire is meant to be a car factory simulator blended with real-time strategy elements, enriched by the ability to take direct control of your vehicles in arcade-style races. We know—it’s an ambitious and complex goal. But we embrace that challenge.
Right now, the game isn’t stable. You’re encountering both gameplay inconsistencies and technical issues. But this isn’t an unsolvable problem. We’re genuinely committed to reducing system requirements and improving performance. The recent Patch 0.7.5 already delivered significant optimization on the global map—boosting average framerates by roughly 50% (results vary by GPU).
We’re not a funded studio with investors or a publisher behind us.
We’re enthusiasts. For three years, we’ve been working on this game after our day jobs, investing our own time, energy, and savings. Our dream is to create a truly engaging hybrid experience—one that breaks down the wall between racing games and factory/strategy simulations.
We want you to start with the first horseless carriages of the early 1900s and grow into the leading automobile manufacturer of your nation. Down the road, we plan to introduce new countries and markets, each with unique design philosophies, consumer behaviors, and technological paths—including modern cars and trucks.
We strongly oppose loot boxes and pay-to-win mechanics. A game should be a game—complete, fair, and unrestricted from the start. That said, we may release DLCs, but only as expansions to new countries and markets. Everything else—core features, eras, gameplay systems—will be added free of charge to everyone who’s already bought the game.
Currently, the timeline spans from the dawn of the automobile era up to the 1950s. Before moving into more modern decades, we’re fully focused on delivering everything promised for our 1.0 release.
Why launch now, in this state?
Simple: we’re self-funded enthusiasts with no external support. Everything you see has been built from our own pockets. We don’t expect to recoup our costs—but our priority was never profit. It was bringing this dream to life.
After years of development, we reached a point of quiet burnout: the game existed, but no one had seen it. Some bugs you’ve reported were glaring—but after testing the game every couple of weeks for years, our eyes became blind to them. And honestly, we rarely had time to just play the game like a normal player—without checking mechanics, chasing bugs, or jumping back into the editor to tweak models or logic. (Yes—most car and building models were crafted by us personally, not downloaded from asset stores.)
We’re not trying to be Gear City, Production Line, or Motor City. We’re heading in a different direction:
→ An arcade-style factory-strategy hybrid,
→ No hardcore micromanagement or engineering simulation,
→ Rich brand reputation and market dynamics,
→ A fully 3D world with a living global map,
→ Real-time gameplay—no turn-based systems,
→ And fun, accessible racing sequences.
We deliberately rejected a turn-based approach—even though it would’ve made development far easier and saved us countless headaches. Why? Because it would’ve been boring.
Our motto is simple:
“Let the implementation be hard. Let there be bugs at first. But in the end—it must be fun to play.”
Very soon, we’ll publish a detailed roadmap outlining our development stages, goals, and timelines. Until then, we’re heads-down fixing bugs and listening closely to your feedback.
If you have questions about the vision, philosophy, or long-term direction of Car Factory Empire (not technical or gameplay issues—those will go in a dedicated support thread soon), please share them here!
Thank you forbelieving in our dream.
Together, we’ll build the game we’ve always wanted to play!
— The Car Factory Empire Team
